Amity School of Communication (ASCO) under the Amity University Gwalior is a media education institute in the state of Madhya Pradesh giving a Bachelor’s as well as Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Media. It produces many print and electronics journalists, advertising professionals, public relations professionals, photojournalists, and academicians in the field.

• Course Structure – It is a 3-year course spread across 6 semesters. It is a very good blend of traditional value systems and ethics along with modern practical and theoretical knowledge in sync with the industry demands.

CBCS is a new system adopted by Amity University in which the student can take up any course(s) from his/her domain electives or any other open elective offered by the university. Domain electives are courses that are related to the branch/discipline he/she is enrolled in an open electives are any other courses that are not related to his/her core domain of study.

This system aims to offer flexibility to its students in terms of what they want to learn and pursue in accordance with their interests. Not only in terms of subject selection, but CBCS also offers many other benefits and flexibilities to the students which are discussed below –

• Choice of electives from a wide range of courses
• The choice to take extra credits beyond the stipulated credits and to take up extra subjects
• Flexibility to take up an interdisciplinary approach towards learning.
• Time slot selection of courses is also offered.
• Chance to improve skills and employability by taking up various vocational training, entrepreneurial projects etc.
• Choice to prepare his/her own time table, create his/her own unique degree and academic plan

So, this is a very innovative approach developed by the university for the holistic development of a student and improving his/her skills according to their own interests.

SANGATHAN is a month-long annual event of Amity University campuses spread across 15 cities in India as well as from international campuses of Dubai, London, California, Singapore, New York, and Mauritius. 

• More than 5000 students from over 150 Amity institutions participate in this event. This is considered the Founder’s Day of Amity University and celebrated in memory of the founder president Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan.
• There are 35 different sports comprising team games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, and Basketball, etc. along with individual games such as Athletics, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Judo, Karate, and Swimming, etc. 
• Trials for the games at the institute level are held first and based on the performance, there are games played at the Institute level (Gwalior campus round games). 
• Winners are given awards and certificates along with a chance to participate in the inter-Amity SANGATHAN event to be held at Amity University Noida campus.
• At the inter-Amity SANGATHAN event, various cultural programs are also performed by various campuses of the Amity University family. 

This fest or meet is a very important part of student life at Amity University and helps the students to pursue their interests and extra-curricular particularly sports. This event plays a very important role in the overall growth of an individual apart from only academics.

Amity University Gwalior has specially set up a campus recruitment centre called Career Resource Center of AUMP. Even after passing out and becoming an alumnus, you can continue seeking their support. The Career Resource Centre aims to provide 100% placement and has been able to achieve it gradually.

Now, it totally depends on your hard work during your academic journey. If your college grades are good it catches the attention of the recruiters along with the number of related internships you have done. Generally, a minimum CGPA of 7 along with good internships can land you good jobs. Whereas, if you waste crucial time, even the university will struggle to get you placed.

Firstly, there is no cutoff system to secure a seat at Amity University, Gwalior. Hence, there is no specific cutoff for getting admission to BCA at Amity. However, there are eligibility criteria with an entrance test which you need to clear in order to get admission.

• You need to have a minimum of 60% aggregate in 10+2.
• You need to qualify for the common aptitude test AMCAT which is basically an entrance test.
• Interview with the concerned departments’ faculty.

Thus, make sure you have secured enough marks in your 10+2. If you meet this criterion, it's time to prepare well for the aptitude test which you need to pass in order to secure yourself a seat in the preferred field. Also, do not forget to prepare yourself for the interview as it’s the final step towards admission to Amity.
