SJ
Sidhharth Jain Posted On : December 31st, 2022
B.Sc.(H) Physics in Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi (Graduated 2019)

MSU Baroda is better compared to Ferguson College Pune. In terms of science courses, MSU is a well-known institution. And it is good in arts as well but Ferguson college is not as good as MSU. As a result, you should go with the MSU Baroda. MSU's main campus includes the Arts, Science, and Commerce faculties, the architecture department, the education and phycology faculty, the family and community science faculty, the fine arts faculty, and one or two other faculties.

Another point as far as the experiences of students say, is that MSU is strong in science, which improves the environment for art students. Ferguson College Pune also does not offer a BA in humanities

Is MSU Baroda a good place to study textile engineering?

FS
Farah Shah Posted On : December 31st, 2022
B.E. in Textile Technology, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Graduated 2018)

Whether MSU Baroda is a good place to study textile engineering depends on a few factors.

If you are from Gujarat and do not want to study outside of Gujarat, you can choose MSU Baroda because there are only a few options for Textile Engineering in Gujarat. Otherwise, there are better textile colleges outside of Gujarat, such as IIT Delhi, DKTE (Maharashtra), GCTI (Kanpur, UP), and so on.

The majority of the teachers in the Textile Department at MSU Baroda are excellent and helpful. There is also a good learning infrastructure. If you are unsure whether to pursue a career in Textile Engineering, you should look into other options.

What if I have to choose one university for the BBA program in terms of crowd, culture, and exposure, between MSU Baroda and AURO University Surat?

GK
Gauri Kapoor Posted On : December 31st, 2022
Studied at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda

Both universities have been differentiated in terms of crowd, culture, and exposure.

  • Crowd and Culture: Surat, India's diamond city and textile hub, has a significant population dedicated to these two industries. It has a larger population of migrant workers. The crowd and culture of the college will be influenced by where the students of the course come from. Baroda, on the other hand, has a diverse population. As MSU has a large number of students from Baroda, the college crowd would reflect this culture as well.

Another reason for the difference in crowd size could be the type of college (University). MSU evolved from the former Baroda College, which was founded in 1881 by Maharaja of Baroda. It is one of Western India's oldest educational institutions. Because AURO University was founded in 2011, the attraction for admission would naturally be towards the former, thus the quality.

  • Exposure: Baroda has a large industrial belt in and around it, so exposure is excellent if you choose MSU. Surat, in comparison, has the distinction of being the largest Diamond Polishing industry, along with the Textile industry, and should have very good industrial exposure opportunities, depending on the new University's efforts to attract experts from the existing Surat industry into the college for student exposure, which AURO University will not lack in.

However, MSU Baroda is a better choice than AURO University Surat for BBA Program because, since it is a well-known, established institution if you need to pursue higher studies after BBA, then studying there would give you better opportunities abroad. Universities and Colleges outside India always check the antecedents of the alma matter, from where the student has done the basic degree, and give a better chance to the old existing University, provided everything else is the same.

Which college or university is better for a bachelor's in psychology: DU or MSU Baroda?

JT
Jayant Thakur Posted On : December 31st, 2022
B.A in Economics & Political Science, University of Delhi (Graduated 2019)

What truly distinguishes universities such as DU, JNU, and BHU is their brand value and large alumni base. It's as if they've created a brand, particularly for social science courses. A degree from it is valuable in and of itself. Second, while faculty may be similar in some ways, exposure at DU is unparalleled. You will learn a lot.

MSU Baroda is a great university with a vibrant past and a strong alumni base, but in the current scenario, good colleges of DU stand out. But, yes, you must work hard and take the initiative to learn and gain knowledge wherever you study because, in the end, it is the knowledge you acquire that counts.
