KIIT SOM has a strong alumni network of 5000+ with many on the CxO level in big corporations. A few of my friends studied there and here’s what I got to know from them:

• The institute carries “Day Zero” dream campus drives to place students. 
• Already 38 companies visited the campus. A few students have already received their offers from some of the reputed companies. 
• However, the institute announced that 150+ companies are to visit the campus on day zero.
• Some "day zero" recruiters that came to campus are Autodesk, Amazon, Reliance, Quikr, Novartis, Nutanix, Informatica, VMware, Endurance International, and ZS Associates. 
• The packages offered by these companies are above INR 7 LPA. 
• Out of these, Nutanix recruited a student at INR 18 LPA. 
• However, the drive will continue till September. So, many opportunities are in queue for the students. 
• The companies like PwC, Nissan, Philips, TATA Tech, High Radius, and others will offer promising packages of over INR 6 LPA. 
• CSE students usually get an opportunity to sit for an interview in every company.

Overall, KIIT SOM students can climb to great heights if they are hardworking and persistent, as the institute provides many opportunities to grow and get placed.

One of my friends studied at IET Lucknow. Let me share some information I gathered from him, which might answer your question.

• The placement cell of IET Lucknow has been successful in pairing up the students who are talented with the right companies.
• This has led to the rise in the number of student selections.
• The faculty of IET Lucknow enjoys an enviable reputation.
• The alumni are also involved in the institute’s educational and research activities.
• The placement office and the representatives of the students are in charge of making contact with the companies, scheduling, and executing the activities.
• The placement team tries its best to bridge the gap between the expectations of the recruiters and the aspirations of the students.
• The team of student representatives includes the placement managers who are in charge of the coordination of the activities.

The placement office also supervises the company coordinators who are in charge of executing coordination with the organizations that recruit. Also, the department placement coordinators channel the preparedness of the students and initiatives for the enhancement of employability.

The mechatronics branch is a combination of departments Mechanical and Electronics. It will provide several benefits in terms of the educational backdrop as well as escalates chances of earning more.

• Infosys usually comes in the first slot of the placement drive of the college.
• If you want to get into the core technical job then you might not get that in college but this is true in the case of other colleges as well.
• If your branch of engineering is electrical, mechanical, and biomedical then you should definitely participate in the campus pool drive of the college.
