Which course is better to join IMT Ghaziabad PGDM (Dual Country Programme) or TAPMI PGDM?

TAPMI is a great option to do MBA as it provides a good environment and decent exposers. Following are some points why you should do an MBA from TAPMI.
- Faculty- TAPMI has a great faculty base. The staff here are experienced and have a lot of knowledge in the particular field.
- Placement- When it comes to placement, it has maintained the 100% placement mark for more than 15 years. You will definitely get placement opportunities. But, where you get placed totally depends on you. The average and highest package is 11 LPA and 25 LPA respectively.
- Student Committees- There are many committees to choose from. But don’t worry if you don’t get into any. It will not affect your placements.

What is the XAT Cutoff for SP JAIN, K J Somaiya, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI, and FORE?
XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to management programs offered by more than 150 B-schools across India, including SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT Ghaziabad), T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), and FORE School of Management.
Each of these B-schools has its own XAT cutoff score based on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. Generally, the XAT cutoff scores for these B-schools range between the 80 to 90 percentile.

How difficult is it to get into TAPMI?
You must set your sights on an excellent school for TAPMI. You have a very good chance of getting a call from TAPMI if you have an 80 percentile+ CAT score, a good academic profile, and 20 months of IT experience. Not only that, but if your interview goes well, you have a good chance of converting. TAPMI seeks candidates with strong academic credentials.
TAPMI applications are processed entirely online. The application fee is INR 2,000 for up to two programs and INR 4,000 and 6,000 for up to three and four programs, respectively.
I've got two options, TAPMI PGDM and IRMA PRM. What should I choose?

How do I convert a call from tapmi?
To get into TAPMI, clear the GD session, and perform well in PI. Your marks and CAT score should also be good. Last year my brother applied here. Let me share his experience, which might give you a clear idea.
- GD topics are mainly taken from current affairs. They might also provide debatable topics, to evaluate the discussion. My brother was given the topic “Should Burqas be Banned During Exams?”. Out of 12 people in the group, 4 were selected for the PI round.
- In PI, various types of questions were asked. This included from - “Describing Yourself” to “Where do you see yourself in 5 years”. Mention your family background briefly, but mostly concentrate on yourself, your accomplishments, your skills, and your strengths.
- They also asked about - Why he chose MBA and why in TAPMI. Also why he did not opt for a job but for an MBA. Confidently and answer with honesty, this will definitely create a good impression.
- After that, you also might be asked about current affairs and your extra-curricular activities. How they benefited you and what role does it play in your career, are some of the things you should be prepared to answer.
Overall, even if you don't have an answer, be confident and speak clearly. If you don't want to bluff your way through an answer, tell them confidently that you don't know.
Which college is better between SIBM Bangalore and TAPMI? The average placements for both the colleges stand the same which makes the decision tough.
When comparing two B-Schools with similar placements, there are a couple of factors you should consider. Firstly, you should look at the batch size and the brand. TAPMI has a larger batch size compared to SIBM Bangalore, which may lead to more dilution in resource allocation.
On the other hand, a smaller batch size in two equally-matched B-Schools ensures batch quality. The second factor to consider is the brand of the B-School, which is something you should analyze on your own. It is important to understand the brand value of a B-School, as it reflects its reputation in the industry and the quality of education it provides. Ultimately, you should choose a B-School that aligns with your goals and aspirations, and provides you with the best opportunities to achieve them.
Is it worth it to study for an MBA in tier 3 colleges like TAPMI, BIM, or K J Somaiya?
What are my chances in FMS, MDI, and TAPMI if I have 92% in 10th, 80% in 12th, and 95% in graduation?
FMS, MDI, and TAPMI are very good and reputed colleges and a student needs to be very good in academics to get admission to any of these colleges.
- FMS and MDI are ranked higher than TAPMI and with these scores, you will be easily able to get in the second round of selection for any of these colleges.
- For FMS, you will have to score 99 percentile in CAT as the overall percentage score of CAT for selection is 60% for FMS.
- For MDI, you will have to score 98 percentile in CAT for the flagship program, and the international business program scoring 95 percentile will be enough.
- For TAPMI, scoring 90 percentile will be good enough and with this score, you can expect to get a call from the college.
- After getting the call you will have to prepare yourself for the interview round which will be the major factor in whether you will get admission or not.
- You must practice a lot for this round and be clear with all the concepts and basics.
- Also, try to read newspapers and current affairs as these will help you a lot in your interview.
Hence, with these scores, your chances of getting admission in FMS, MDI, or TAPMI are very good and so you must prepare for your interview round very well so that you can finally get admission to your desired college.
