Honestly speaking, TAPMI, FORE, and LBSIM are very similar in terms of curriculum. Many of my friends have completed PGDM from FORE and TAPMI. Even the comp ones that visit the campus for placements are very similar and not much comparison can be done between the 2 B Schools. The placements report too will reveal a similar list of companies visiting. Some minor differences between these B Schools are

  • TAPMI is a residential campus unlike FORE and therefore has an upper hand in this aspect. You can spend more time on group research and assignments.
  • FORE has a locational advantage compared to TAPMI as it is located in the capital city whereas TAPMI is situated on the Konkan Coast.

Recruiters consider all top 2 B Schools in the same league. What matters more than your B School choice is what you plan to do from your PGDM course.

PGDM from FORE School of Management

FORE is the best option among these if we compare these institutes on an overall basis. It is famous for its Marketing faculty. All the faculties are from either IIM or IIT.

LBSIM is known for its Finance course. TAPMI student crowd includes more experienced professionals.

FORE has a better brand name among the three. In terms of placements, FORE and TAPMI are better than LBSIM. FORE School of Management average package is INR 10.7 LPA (2021 statistics).

FORE is best for marketing and has a dedicated group of faculties. Most of the faculties are from IIMs and IITs. Whereas, for Finance, LBSIM and TAPMI are better options. You should choose the institute which offers a better program for your choice of specialization.
