Ashoka University is a good private engineering college as it aims for outstanding placements and academics results, especially in computer engineering.

The fee structure for computer science is approximately 9.87 lac per annum. Ashoka University has the best CS faculty from all over India and the world. The professors have their educational backgrounds majorly from ISI and IISc Bangalore and other top-notch colleges. 

Apart from a major in CS, students can also opt for a minor in CS or interdisciplinary majors and Entrepreneurship in CS and Mathematics. The university provides students with a good exposure along with guest lectures by well-known inventors or innovators relating to computer engineering. This is the process which is also followed by some good foreign engineering universities.

The placement structure for computer engineering students is also good. The university offers ample opportunities to intern and work with reputed organizations. What is eligibility for iit madras BSc. Computer Science course?

IIT Madras does not offer a Bsc. in Computer Science, instead it offers a Bsc. in Programming and Data Science.

Here is the eligibility criteria for admission into BSc. Programming & Data Science at IIT Madras : 

  • The candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent.
  • There is no age restriction for applying to this course.
  • The admission is based on the candidates' performance in a qualifier test.
  • Those who get the minimum required scores in the qualifier exam can register for the foundation-level course.
  • Candidates eligible to appear for the most recent JEE Advanced can directly opt for the foundation-level course.

The last date for Application submission is 28 May 2024. The exam date for admission into BSc. Programming & Data Science at IITM is July 7 2024.

  • Course Fee- LPU offers BSc Computer Science at a course fee of INR 1,24,500 per semester. Additionally, INR 4,500 per sem is payable in the form of examination fee
  • Hostel Fee- LPU has a well furnished and premium infrastructure with modern facilities and amenitiesThere are different types of living spaces in LPU hostels ranging from Standard Rooms to Apartments. 

The apartment type hostel has AC rooms with attached washroom, geyser, box bed, a study table, a chair, an almirah, etc. The LPU Hostel fee ranges from INR 1,00,000 to INR 2,10,000 yearly for apartment-style accommodation. LPU also has Standard Rooms with attached washrooms, one can choose to opt for AC rooms or cooler rooms. The total fees for Standard Rooms at LPU hostels ranges between INR 60,000 to INR 1,60,000 per year.

Different colleges have different admission criteria for MSc. Computer Science. Most Indian universities require you to either pursue Computer Science as one of the subjects for at least two years of your undergraduate studies, or pursue an Hons. in Computer Science. 

So you might not have a chance to pursue an MSc. in Computer Science in India. But you can opt for an MSc. in Mathematics and Computing. This stream deals with Computer Science, but it is deeply rooted in Mathematics. You can sit for the IIT JAM exam as well.
