Which course is higher regular diploma or NTTF?

SR
Sonakshi Roy Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Nettur Technical Training Foundation

It depends on your career planning. If you are willing to pursue engineering, then a regular diploma with an above-average percentage would be a great option to go for. The estimated tuition charges would be on a lower end as well as it is a regular diploma. If your aim is to land a job as soon as your diploma is completed then it is suggested to opt for NTTF.

  • If you are going abroad for work and your employer asks for your certificate of equivalency from NTTF, then it will be a huge challenge. This certificate is not issued from the state board of technical education. In the case of a regular diploma, you would be able to receive your certificate easily as it is issued by the state board of technical education.
  • The courses at NTTF and GTTC are devised to fulfill the prerequisite of tooling and mechatronics streams. If you opt for tool and Die Making or mechatronics or other similar courses, the challenges your way would increase. You would be at an edge with the continuous explaining of your expertise to your employers your entire life. It is so because the majority of the people are unaware of it.
  • If you opt for mechanical, civil, electrical, electronics, or any other regular Diploma then you would not have the need to explain anything and you would have plenty of opportunities throughout your career as well. You can shuffle from one job to another without any hesitation.

In a regular diploma course, there would be a little struggle in the beginning as the colleges do not provide any immediate placements or training programs. If you look into the future then this is a wise choice rather than the specially designed courses.

PB
Preity Bisht Posted On : September 10th, 2021
Studied Tool and Die Making at Nettur Technical Training Foundation (2019)

NTTF is a good institute for the Tool Design course. The PG is Tool Design is a one-year course. According to one of my friends studying at NTTF, make sure your foundations in mechanical engineering are strong. Also, here are some facts you should keep in mind before deciding:

  • Most of the faculty are retired managers or employers from organizations that are very well known.
  • The knowledge you will get from NTTF would be immense and if you pursue mechanical engineering from this institute then you will get ample opportunities to explore.
  • Coursework is rigorous at NTTF.
  • NTTF has a great brand value but sadly it is on the decline.
  • The placement scenario is declining at NTTF and the students get internship opportunities instead of full time jobs.
  • Only the tool design program attracts recruiters to the campus.
  • In the case of academics, due to the decreasing brand value the technical staff is declining in numbers.
Categories PG Diploma in Tool Design at NTTF
Course Fee INR 78,000
Highest CTC 5 LPA
Average CTC 1.5 LPA

However, B.Tech degree is the best degree in the institute and it is very efficient in getting the students placed. A B.Tech degree from NTTF is respected by companies.

Is the NTTF institution approved by IQAS?

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Mechanical Engineering, Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) in 2020

No, ITTF does not have the certification of IQAS.

Only official educational documents awarded by recognized educational institutions are evaluated by IQAS. The credentials scored in formal academic training can be evaluated by the IQAS. But non-academic, non-formal, or not short-term professional courses are not put under IQAS.

The NTTF is recognized by the AICTE and approved by the UGC. NTTF also has EOHS and NSDC certifications.

How is it to be a training officer in NTTF? Will it help in the future to get in core industries (mechanical)?

AC
Anindya Choudhary Posted On : September 16th, 2021
Nettur Technical Training Foundation

One of my friends was with NTTF as a Training officer for 4.5 years. During the training, he enhanced his core strength in tool engineering, shop floor basics, design processes, hydraulics pneumatics, and even robotics engineering.

According to him, the best part of the training was that he got to clear his theoretical knowledge and apply them practically during his training. If your basics are clear and you can express them properly then you will certainly get decent opportunities at the institute.

Currently, he is working with Jindal Steel in a new role. His training from NTTF has helped him prepared for the new challenges that come with the job.

How good is the postgraduation diploma course in tool design at NTTF?

RK
Rochak Kundra Posted On : September 10th, 2021
Studied Tool and Die Making at Nettur Technical Training Foundation (2019)

It is suggested not to join NTTF for any course. The reasons are given below –

  • Recognition: NTTF does not have AICTE recognition and thus you have no other option other than going for a job in the private sector. You cannot go for higher studies even.
  • Study Life: Many veteran professors have left the institute and have not been replaced by equally competent professors. The intake has been increased which has lowered the attention received by each student.
  • Placements: The institute hosts mostly service-based companies with packages of less than 2 LPA. One of my friends was offered INR 8,000 – INR 15,000 per month by a company and it cannot be termed good for a postgraduate degree.
  • Cost of Education - The tuition fee is high around INR 1,60,000 per year and they are increasing it every year by INR 2,000 – INR 3,000. If you have applied for the Bangalore center then you will have to shell out close to INR 7,000 per month on house rent, food, travel, etc. You are looking at a total cost of around INR 3,50,000 for a year degree.

Doing a PG diploma course in tool design at NTTF is not justified at all and I think you will literally waste your time and money on nothing.

Are the NTTF tool and die-making course secure?

RP
Rajkumar Pattanaik Posted On : September 6th, 2021
Studies Diploma in Tool and Die making at NTTF (2022

One of my friends recently graduated from NTTF and he pursued Tool and Die-making course. Here is a detailed outlook about the course to support your question:

  1. The branch is secure to opt if you are ready to stick with the knowledge you acquire from this course. If you keep it intact, securing positions at related companies can be feasible.
  2. The salary provided can be comparably less. You should be ready to consider the package you obtain from core companies.
  3. Pursuing this course is only beneficial if want to start your own company following the completion of this course.
  4. It can be highly advantageous in case you are more concentrated on the designs, concepts as well as room departments.

Thus to say, play your card right and make an informed decision.

After completing your course from NTTF, did you get placed?

SR
Susmita Roy Posted On : September 16th, 2021
Studied Mechatronics at NTTF (2019)

I have friends from NTTF and they did get placed after completing their courses from NTTF. One of my friends got placed even before completing his course. You will receive placement offers if you have the required skills.

Service engineers, automation engineers, manufacturing engineers, inspection engineers, plant head, the floor in-charge, etc. are some of the roles offered at NTTF. In the recent placement, the average and highest CTC offered was 5 LPA and 12 LPA.

Top companies like L&T, Siemens, Tata Motors, FANUC, Tata Steel, Addverb Technology, Gainwell Commosales, Lohia Corp, Schneider Electric and Timken Limited, etc. recruited students from NTTF.

NTTF does offer good opportunities, so securing a decent job offer depends on your ability and skills.
