One of my cousins is a part of Chandigarh University, Gharuan, and as per what she mentions, here is a brief rundown,
Thus, it is best to choose Chandigarh University, despite having other choices in the same location.
If you are considering pursuing BCA, Chandigarh University is an excellent option to consider. The university has established ties with several foreign universities and reputed companies, which facilitates higher education abroad and good placements for their students, respectively. Chandigarh University provides a great academic exposure to its students and is also accredited with NAAC A+ rating.
Chandigarh University has separate departments for different courses. The University Institute of Computing (UIC) department is considered the best department in Chandigarh University. The UIC department boasts of special labs, such as Microsoft Azur lab, Redhat lab, Android development lab, and many more. These labs are equipped with advanced technologies that help students gain practical knowledge and skills required for the industry.
Chandigarh University has a great track record of placements. In the previous year, the university witnessed over 2000+ placements, which was a significant achievement. With excellent industry linkages, reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment drives regularly. Additionally, the university offers extensive training and placement opportunities to its students to help them prepare for the placement process.
In conclusion, Chandigarh University is an excellent option for pursuing BCA. It offers a world-class academic experience, practical exposure, and excellent placement opportunities. Consider Chandigarh University as a potential destination for BCA and achieve your career goals.
The placement opportunities at Chandigarh University are excellent. When it comes to CSE, students have been able to secure pay packages as high as Rs 31LPA. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Hitachi, CTS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and other international brands visit the Chandigarh university campus on a regular basis. One of the most important aspects of a B. Tech in CSE is the opportunity for final-year students to receive on-the-job training, which is a significant benefit for students preparing for careers.
Much new software is provided to the students, and they are taught how to use it, as well as given support so that they can develop their own new software and continue to work with them to improve human life.
When it comes to selecting a college, it's important to consider various factors such as the curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, location, and placement opportunities. If you are considering CGC and CU Gharuan, you may want to take note of the following information.
CGC is affiliated with Punjab Technical University (PTU), whereas CU Gharuan is a university in itself. While being affiliated with PTU has its advantages, such as following a standardized curriculum and receiving recognition from the university, it's important to note that not all colleges under PTU may be of the same standard.
On the other hand, CU Gharuan is a recognized university that offers a range of courses across different fields. The university has its own faculty, infrastructure, and curriculum that is designed to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.
When it comes to placements, both CGC and CU Gharuan have a dedicated placement cell that assists students in finding job opportunities. However, it's important to note that placement outcomes are not solely dependent on the college, but also on various other factors such as the student's skills, interests, and abilities, and the industry requirements.
While some colleges under PTU may not have a good reputation, it's not fair to generalize and say that all colleges under PTU are of no use. Similarly, while CU Gharuan may be a good option for some students, it may not be the best option for everyone. It's important to thoroughly research and consider all the factors before making a decision.
According to one of my friends who studied at Chandigarh University, the pressure of studies will be lower until your first year. As the number of semesters increases, the pressure of studies and placements will increase.
Some important tips for your first year at CU are:
One thing you should always remember is to take good care of your ID Card. As if you lose it, you'll have to pay a fee of INR 1000 rupees. Overall try to enjoy these first years as gradually it will get tougher.
Chandigarh University is the better choice among these two.
But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.
Chandigarh University is any day better than Galgotias University. The faculties at CU are great. Although most faculties don’t have much experience, they are well qualified and cooperative.
The placement training regime at CU is great. Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements. Around 20-25, IT companies visit CU each year for recruiting students. Overall, in terms of placement and faculties, CU is better than Galgotias.
Chandigarh University is a private university that is run by Chandigarh Educational Trust. It is situated on NH-95, Chandigarh Ludhiana Highway, Mohali, Panjab. The university is recognized by UGC.
It is one of the largest universities near Chandigarh. CU has more than 30,000 students from all over India and 30 other countries.
Chitkara and Chandigarh University are great options for doing a B.Tech. For MBA, you should not consider these institutes. After completing your degree from these institutes, you won’t be able to get decent job options, unless you have a master’s degree from reputed universities.
Try to get into Govt. colleges. If you are an engineer, try to improve your skills, make projects, and try to get jobs at MNCs. If you are from a general background, it’s better to prepare for CAT.
Except for BITS Pilani, CSE at Thapar is far superior to any other university.
Chandigarh University does not offer better placements or opportunities. It's all just public relations to boost the college's image.
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, on the other hand, is one of India's most prestigious and best engineering institutes. In the NIRF Government of India rankings, Thapar Institute of Engineering And Technology was ranked 23rd. For the last six years, the placement rate has been consistently higher than 90%. A total of 361 recruiters took part, recruiting 1622 students. Students were offered the highest package of INR 40 LPA, while the average package was INR 10.97 LPA.
Thapar University accepts students based on their JEE scores.
