How is Chandigarh University for CSE?

Some of my friends studied at Chandigarh University. According to them, when it comes to infrastructure and facilities, it is average. we cannot compare it to LPU, SRM, or any other similar universities, popular among students. 

• As a brand name CU falls short by a wide margin. 
• The placements at Chandigarh University are quite good for students of CSE and IT department. 
• The departments of CSE and IT are growing rapidly at CU. 
• There are nearly 1400 students enrolled in a department. 
• 1400 can be considered to be a huge number of students. As this could limit your teacher-student interaction.
• The teachers are ordinary in the first year, but in the second year, the faculty members are well experienced and quite good in their respective fields.
• The CU hosts several competitive fests and workshops. 
• Chandigarh University provides internship opportunities at universities in the United States, Canada, etc. 
• CU also conducts a TPP program, which will begin in the second year. 
• In this program, you will be taught C, C++, and communication skills that would help you prepare for group discussion rounds and technical interviews for the placement drives. 
• A minimum of 75 percent attendance is required to appear for the examinations. 
• If you acquire attendance of 74.4 percent, you will be unable to appear for the final examinations. 

Overall, the University is good, however, if you intend to pursue a B.Tech course from Chandigarh, you should prioritize Thapar, CCET, or PEC University over Chandigarh University.
