- In dinner, they have curries like paneer, egg curry, dal, mixed veg, etc. along with rice and chapatis.
- In the evening they provide a cup of tea.
- The timings of breakfast are 8:00 AM to 9:30 am, for lunch it is 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, evening tea is at 5:00 PM and dinner is from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

- The professors and students both are collaborating on various projects from both institutes.
- The alumni base of NIT Durgapur is also strong. It includes IIT Kharagpur graduates who have completed or are currently pursuing higher degrees at IIT.
- There is a better opportunity in NIT Durgapur as compared to others, in case you are prepared to utilize these.
- If you will seek placement after M.Tech, go for Allahabad.

What are the reasons for the degradation of IIITM Gwalior?
This is true that IIITM Gwalior is not the same as before and there are 2 main reasons for it - Academics and Research.
Any college's fate lies in the vision of the director and unfortunately, the dean of IIITM Gwalior doesn't focus much on academics and rather focuses on unnecessary things like exam duties, staff handling, transportation, and all.
This is not all and there is a chain of events that are happening and making the situation worse.
Some of the observation include:
- This college is autonomous and hence all its decisions are made here. The problem lies in the fact that all the decisions are made on the go and there is no pre-planning of any task.
- The main disgrace is academics. A professor of another field is taking lectures on another subject. What do you think of academics then?
- The feedback is just a waste and no action is taken depending on the response of the student.
- Faculties are the soul of any educational institute. Faculty here are living in their old vibes and fighting each other, satisfying their ego. They stand nowhere against the faculty of IITs and NITs.
- The placement cell is bogus and they try to provide minimum help to the student. Students here are mostly placed off-campus depending on their skillset and coding skills.
- The politics that goes around at every level of the institute.

- The famous Gwalior Fort is visible from the campus and is about 5km away from the closest gate. It is a 20-minute walk from there.
- There are beautiful temples nearby.
- The mall is at a distance of 7km which takes about 15 minutes. There is a college bus facility which goes every weekday in a gap of 2 hours. There is yet another mall which is 40 minutes far.
- Every year, a mela is held named the ‘Gwalior Mela’ which is held for 3 months. It is 5 km away which takes just 10 minutes by the bus route.
- The City Centre and restaurants are also nearby. It is at a distance of 8km from the campus and 1 to 2 km from the first mall.
- There is a dam that takes 45 minutes to reach if you travel via reserved vehicle.
- Orchha, via reserved vehicle, takes 1.5 hours.
- Agra and Jhansi take 2 hours and 1.5 hours via train, respectively.

IIITM Gwalior IT is better than VIT Vellore CSE. It has a better course structure. Students get to learn the core subjects from the first year itself. IIITM Gwalior placements are also better.
