Which is better, SRM, Manipal, DTU, or NSIT?
DTU and NSIT are the best options among these, with great placement records and academics. These are counted among the top-tier technological institutes in the country. The type of exposure you will get at these institutes will not only help in performing well in academics but also help develop confidence. DTU placements 2022 shows the average CTC to be around INR 15.31 LPA. According to NSIT placement highlights of recent years, the median CTC offered is around INR 13 LPA.
SRM, and Manipal don’t belong to the same tier as DTU and NSIT.
What should I choose, DTU engineering physics or Thapar University CS?
Having known some people studying in both these institutions, I can say that if you plan to get a job offer, go for CS at Thapar University. If not and are interested in doing research opt for Engineering Physics at DTU.
- Engineering Physics is a field which does not anymore provide a promising opportunity to its aspirants.
- If you go with this choice of branch you might get research opportunities after higher studies.
- Moreover, if you have prioritized DTU, keep in mind that the quality of education and academic career is reducing with every passing year.
- Few of the many branches at DTU are striving to keep their esteemed position with engineering physics not being one of them.
- Instead, CS at Thapar University would be an excellent option for building a path for your career.
- This branch is known for its exceptional academics and for the opportunities held out to the students.
- Although it is a batch of almost 570 students in CS you can certainly end up with a 5LPA and above package by the end of your 4th year.

There are many reputed companies that take part in their placement program and recruit CS graduates. These include Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Oracle, IBM, ZS Associates, Morgan Stanley and many more.
Which one is better: DTU, NSIT or IIIT Delhi?
DTU, NSIT, and IIIT Delhi all three of these institutes have their advantages.
- NSIT is best in terms of placements. Especially for branches like CSE, or IT, students receive cushy salary packages. The placement numbers in IIIT Delhi are comparably better than DTU due to less number of students.
- IIIT Delhi will be the best option if you are planning on pursuing research or doing an MS in the USA after completing your B.Tech. Every year almost 15-20% of students from IIIT Delhi join top institutes across the globe for higher studies. Faculties of IIIT Delhi well-reputed. Their recommendation will help you get good institutes for higher studies.
- If you want to pursue MBA after your graduation, you should choose DTU for graduation. It has a lesser academic load. So, you will get enough time to prepare for competitive examinations like CAT, GMAT, etc.
- DTU and IIIT Delhi both have active start-up cultures. Both campuses organize start-up events and hackathons regularly. They also have active E-cells to support budding entrepreneurs. IIIT Delhi also set up an Innovation and Incubation center. You will get to see many successful startups in the coming years.
You should choose one of these three institutes based on your preference and career goals.
Which is better for ECE - MNNIT Allahabad or DTU?
MNNIT Allahabad is better for ECE. The department has a great faculty and the professors are helpful. The ECE department has many clubs and societies such as Robotics Club and Electronics Society. These clubs have various ongoing research projects. The faculties also take part actively in these projects.
Although the core job opportunities are not too encouraging, few companies do take part in the placements drive. In the past students got internship opportunities in companies such as Qualcomm, Samsung, Airtel, etc. Many IT companies also recruit ECE students. According to the recent highlights of MNNIT Allahabad placements, the highest CTC offered to ECE students is around INR 51 LPA.
Should I take DTU ECE or MNNIT Allahabad CSE as a DASA student?
Firstly, you need to understand what your priority is before choosing any one of them. In short, if you are very branch-specific and want CSE as your forte then go for MNNIT Allahabad without giving it a second thought. On the other hand, if you are looking for overall growth then choose DTU any day. Here’s why:
- DTU being situated in the capital city makes it easy to get numerous opportunities for placement and internships.
- Although academics are a priority, DTU offers better exposure to college life other than just academics. For example, ample extracurricular activities, fests, better social network, infrastructure, and facilities.
- Also, there is better exposure for MBA and MS at DTU, if you are interested in AI or robotics.
Overall, if you are not branch-specific and can make up your mind for ECE, then choose DTU. While, if CSE is your pool of interest then go for MNNIT Allahabad. MNNIT has a huge Alumni Network and CS curriculum is good too.
Which is better IPM course in IIM Indore or B.Tech CS in DTU?
IIM Indore and Delhi Technical University (DTU) are both very good institutes for their respective courses. The better option among the two will be DTU if the student is not interested in either the Management course or a tech course. A close senior of mine got a choice between DTU IT course and IPM course in IIM Indore and he decided to go with It course in DTU because: -
- Placement in DTU is much better than IIM Indore for the past few years.
- The IPM course is for 5 years whereas the IT course is for 4 years.
- Students who want to pursue a master's degree like MS or MBA get a better opportunity and have chances of getting a good job offer.

The IPM course now has been converted into a degree course, But still, students usually prefer the 4-year B.Tech course rather than the 5-year long IPM course. If you want to study management after your class 12, then IPM will be a good option for you.
Which one should I prefer, NIT Rourkela or DTU?
Both are great institutions and have given many successful students. Both of the institutes have a rich legacy, a strong alumni network and proper reputation.
It is suggested that you go for the institute in which you are getting your desired branch because it matters the most. If you are getting your desired branch in both the institutes, opt for DTU.
This is due to the location advantage which DTU enjoys. Delhi is certainly a better place in terms of opportunities than Rourkela and you will definitely get more industrial exposure. Even if you are inclined towards higher studies and research, Delhi definitely has more options for proper training and guidance.

However, it all depends on your priorities and what you seek from your college life. Compare all the things before finalizing your choice. Keep in mind that this will shape your career forward.
Which should I choose among DTU CSE, MNIT Jaipur CSE, and IIIT Allahabad IT?
The answer highly depends on your preference. If you are aspiring to be a good programmer, you should think of going to IIIT Allahabad. The curriculum is based on a coding point of view as compared to the other colleges you have mentioned.
- You will have a very programming-centric course right from the first year. Most of the students do very well in coding competitions.
- DTU CSE would also be another good option for you but the seats in this branch are quite limited so there is a lot of competition.
- If you are looking at the personality development aspects, it is also quite good. Many people also choose to ignore this parameter, but it is quite important. There are a number of opportunities available with DTU in many sectors as it is located in Delhi.
- MNIT Jaipur would not be as good as the other two options as IIIT Allahabad provides the best options.

But, it is suggested that you go for DTU CSE as many friends of mine have been able to improve quite well as far as their skill set is concerned in their fields of interest. They also received good jobs in reputed MNCs.
Which is better: IT from NSIT, IT from DTU, or CSE from IIIT Delhi?
IT from NSIT is the best option among these.
- The student crowd is brilliant. It has a small batch size compared to DTU. So, you will face less competition.
- NSIT has an amazing pool of faculties. You will get to learn from excellent faculty members like Sangeeta Sabharwal and MPS Bhatia.
- NSIT IT placements are better than DTU and IIIT D. DTU has a better placement record for core branches. While NSIT offers better placements opportunities to CS and IT students. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC for IT at NSIT was INR 6 LPA.
- Companies like Facebook, Google hire students from NSIT from their US offices.
- Major consulting and non-tech companies like Bain, BCG, ZS Associates, etc. also visit the campus placements.
IIIT Delhi has an excellent research culture and professors from top universities like Carnegie Mellon. So, if you are interested in research, you should choose IIIT D. Overall IT from NSIT is the best option in terms of academics and placements.
I got an AIR rank of 3964 in the JEE Mains. Which one should I prefer, MNNIT Allahabad for computer science or electronics or DTU for software engineering?
Both MNNIT Allahabad and DTU are well-established and much-reputed colleges. If you get admission to any of the colleges, your future will be bright and you will land up really well in companies.
Moreover, choose a branch that excites you as it is equally important as the college you will take admission in. If programming excites you, then MNNIT CSE is the best choice. If not, you can go for hardware options i.e. Electronics. Though, I'm not sure how good the software engineering of DTU is.
In terms of placements and research areas, MNNIT is not extreme but fine. You won’t get excellent faculties but you will learn a lot from their experiences. Try not to be depending on your faculty in your college life. You'll have to develop your interest and learn on your own.
Do not think only about the college but make sure you choose the correct branch as well. Both are equally important as you know that your future will depend on them.
