Google pays a visit to the campus and offers two positions. It's either Product Management (PM) or Marketing. However, both positions may not be available every year. It is determined by the state of the economy, the requirements, and the campus-Google relationship. The project manager position is more desirable than the marketing position.
This year, it hired from IIM C for positions such as industry manager, account manager, and account strategist. Infosys' international positions are for its client-servicing group. All of these candidates will be based in the United States or London. GE Capital and Baring Private Equity are two other recruiters.

IIM Ahmedabad chose this elegant style and world-class stone art as an inspiration for the logo of their institution.
Does IIM Ahmedabad have a sports culture?
IIM Ahmedabad has a great sports culture. For most of the indoor and outdoor activities, there are outstanding and well-managed facilities. The campus has a well-maintained football field, cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court. There are also indoor games facilities such as table tennis, chess, etc.
Sports Committee & Team:
- IIMA has a sports committee that takes care of the sports facilities and campus events.
- Though IIM Ahmedabad is mainly known for its strong emphasis on academics, it is still possible for interested students to find some time to participate in sports activities. For each sport, IIMA has an institute team that concentrates primarily on two sports events during the year, Shaurya and Sangharsh.
Sports Events:
- Shaurya: It is IIM Ahmedabad's inter-college sports festival, where IIMA invites the colleges nearby to participate. While Shaurya is important, it is primarily an opportunity to practice, before the actual major sports event of the year, Sangharsh.
- Sangharsh: An Inter-IIM Sports Meeting between IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Lucknow is held annually, known as Sangharsh. It is the major sports event for which the team trains all year round. For IIM students who are involved in sport, Sangharsh is like the Olympics.
In recent years, IIM Ahmedabad won gold medals in so many of the athletic activities that they also won the Sangharsh Trophy overall. For any IIMA student who was affiliated in some way with sports, it was a genuinely proud moment.
If you love sports or being into sports culture, then there is no other better place than IIM Ahmedabad.
If a person had low marks in 10th and 12th, is he eligible for IIM Ahmedabad?
Candidates who are eligible to take the CAT 2022 are also eligible for admission to the IIMs, according to the IIM eligibility criteria 2022. They must, however, meet a few other requirements set by the respective IIMs for the selection process. The following are the CAT eligibility criteria for admission to IIMs:
- For general category candidates, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation is required (45% for reserved category candidates).
- Candidates in their final year of undergraduate studies.
- Candidates must meet the institute's minimum CAT cut-off criteria.
However, older IIMs have their own selection criteria. IIM A focuses on academics, including grades 10, 12, and graduation. IIM B places a high value on work experience. IIM C has the most straightforward selection procedure. Because you received low marks in 10 and 12, you must improve your graduation marks and CAT percentile to secure a call. It may be difficult, but there are always exceptions.
Try to make your profile stand out from the crowd. Just don't limit yourself to IIMs. Other institutes, such as FMS and XLRI, are also excellent.
Is Athena school of management better than IIM Ahmedabad?
A few of my friends graduated from IIM Ahmedabad and Athena School of Management. From whatever I have heard from them, I can say that the answer is no. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore & IIM Calcutta are considered the Trinity of India's Best Business Schools for around 50 years.
Athena School of Management is a much younger Business School with a lot of innovation and inspiration. It is ranked as India's Best Emerging Business School with multiple internships. The faculty is from across the world with global exposure.
But the Athena School of Management is not better than the IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad is the gold standard for B-schools in India. The institute is ranked Top 1 in the NIRF ranking (2020).

Which program is better and has comparatively more market value and acceptance: IIM Ahmedabad AGMP, IIM Bangalore EGMP, or IIM Calcutta EPBM? All 3 are blended part-time certificate programs.
IIM Ahmedabad - AGMP and IIM Bangalore - EGMP are both excellent programs, better than IIM Calcutta - EPBM. Both classes are held twice a week. Classes were held online during the pandemic. If you are currently employed, both programs will help you advance in your current position.
The one-year AGMP program at IIM Ahmedabad is specifically designed to provide working professionals with general management skills in a global business environment. Jaro Education's classes are delivered using the synchronous Learning Technology platform.
The EGMP at IIM Bangalore brings together participants with a wide range of backgrounds, skills, and experiences, allowing for peer learning. Why is IIM Ahmedabad ranked above IIM Calcutta?
From the perspective of a new student, there is no clear reason. Students at both schools enjoy learning. There are numerous examples of success from both. Both have stringent admissions requirements and select approximately 300 MBA (more precisely, PGDM) students each year from a pool of approximately 150,000 applicants.
IIM Ahmedabad ranks higher than IIM Calcutta due to its large alumni base and better brand recognition. Though the factors used by rating agencies can be referred to comprehend their reasoning.

How does IIM, Ahmedabad teach an MBA?
An MBA is not a course that can be taught. According to my friends at IIM Ahmedabad, the institute offers the students an official learning platform that helps them in learning management in a curriculum structured for around 18–19 months.
- There is an interactive environment where teachers discuss various cases with students.
- The cases discussed include the dos and don'ts for companies and managers.
- A presentation environment is there wherein the students are allocated with group assignments. These assignments then get evaluated in front of other students and faculty members.
- Overall, diversity is great for learning, overall growth, and development.
- IIM Ahmedabad offers industrialexposure. This can help you a lot in gaining new experiences and learning various things about corporate life.
- The course curriculum will prepare you for real-life job experiences and help you to learn the different aspects of finance, marketing, HR, IT, in addition to the basics of business law, public policies, etc.
- You would surely attain a good overview and understanding of the various functions and aspects of the management domain.
