Should I take admission in LNCT Bhopal with EC branch? How are the placements?

SK
Simran Khurana Posted On : September 28th, 2021
Studied at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2019))

The EC Branch at LNCT is not as good as CS or IT branch. You should rather opt for another private college if you do not will to be a regular.

  • You will be obligated to maintain a 75% attendance. Failure of which is met by serious repercussions and expulsion from placement session.
  • If you have sketched out your college life as fun, lively, and full of adventure then you are requested to rethink your decision. You would not be able to spare much time from your college schedule for your skill development.
  • The co-curricular activities and various other programs are held here too but that does not add up to your development in any way.
  • As for the placement opportunities, you should not be keeping high hopes. Most of the companies that visit LNCT are mainly for recruiting qualified students in the IT field.

Other than C and C++ it would rather be essential to learn technologies. This might add up to your already hectic series of academics. In the EC branch, the students are not provided with decent high-paying job opportunities other than the average packages.

Hence, you should consider other private institutes as well if you do want to regret your decision. The CSE branch is terrific here and without hesitation, you can opt for it.

How can you get admission in Sathyabama University and Hindustan University?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : September 16th, 2023

As a B.Tech CSE student at Sathyabama University, I can tell you about my branch and my university.

I got in through management quota, the other way is entrance. I booked my seat before my 12th result by paying 50k and providing my 10th marksheet. For this, I visited the university in March after my public exam. After your 12th result, you can visit and confirm your seat. You’ll get in even with low marks in class 12th. The fee is around 2 Lakhs per year, but the infrastructure and other facilities are good.

Through entrance, you’ll need a rank below 3000. Still, it isn’t sure that you’ll get CSE. CSE seats are completely filled in the first counseling round itself. My friend acquired 1600 rank, but couldn’t get into CSE. Getting in through entrance is extremely difficult due to high competition. Take this route only if you are sure of ranking high in the exam.

This is how you can get into Sathyabama University for your CSE. I do not know about the admission process in Hindustan University.

How is the life of a first year student at KMC Manipal, and what are some of the things one should be aware of there?

RT
Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : September 28th, 2023

The life of a first-year student at KMC Manipal is quite hectic but it teaches you to maintain a healthy balance between studies and other co-curriculars. You will spend the initial days socializing yourself with your batchmates and adjusting yourself to the surroundings. You will familiarize yourself with the pedagogy and also identify the study methods that suit you. Students hang out with their like-minded people. and also pursue their nonacademic interests. Being your first time away from home, you might face some issues adjusting initially so here are some things you should always keep in your mind here

  • Always carry an umbrella because it’s raining all the time here.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health
  • Look for an activity that makes you happy, it can be as simple as taking walks around the campus partying, or anything else.
  • Make sure you priories academics over everything because in the end, only that matters

Hope this helps you!

How many marks are required in JEE or GUJCET to get admission to PDPU Gandhinagar?

HS
Harsh Singh Posted On : January 14th, 2021
B.Tech from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar (2019)

The cut-off rank (or score) required for PDPU in JEE or GUJCET changes every year. The corresponding score and rank dependency is also different every year.

The expected cut-off ranks for PDPU from JEE Main are listed below.

Department

JEE Main Cut-off(expected)

Petroleum Engineering

<56000

Computer Engineering

<40000

Information and Communication Technology

<52000

Chemical Engineering

<65000

Mechanical Engineering

<60000

Electrical Engineering

<150000

Civil Engineering

<150000

Key highlights:

  • The score required varies on the overall performance and difficulty level of the question paper. One of my friends got admission in the Chemical Engineering branch with a 120 cutoff in JEE Main back in 2016. Chemical is among the fastest filling departments along with Petroleum and Computer Science.
  • For GUJCET candidates, a score of around 95 should be sufficient for PDPU. For SC/ST candidates, even 85 would do the same.
  • For JEE Main candidates, 130-150 is considered as a sufficient score for general students for getting the top branches in PDPU.

The above ranks and cut-offs are assumptions and can be considered as tentative values.

Studied Mathematics & French at Fergusson College,Pune (2021)

Fergusson College is an Autonomous institute and comes under Savitribai Phule University, Pune. It is recognized by UGC and offers various undergraduate, post-graduate, and certificate courses under the Arts and Science stream.

  • For Admissions in the UG courses, it is entirely based on the merit in higher secondary exams.
  • For PG, applications are accepted based on merit in the entrance exams.
  • However, if you are a student from Savitribai Phule Pune University in some way or form, your merit in the entrance exam will be given 50% weightage and the other 50% will be given to your merit in the university.
  • The application forms are uploaded to the website for access to prospects.
  • This begins in the month of April every year. Keep a tab on the college website for detailed timelines of the admission process.

The forms will need to be duly submitted online on the College’s website and the procedure to be followed. You need to carry a specific set of original and copies of the following documents:

Will I get admission in CUSAT with 6615 rank in spot round?

AB
Ahalya Bose Posted On : August 16th, 2023
Studied at Cochin University (2019)

The closing ranks for CUSAT CAT 2022 for general category in different branches in B.Tech are as follows-

Course

Closing Rank

Computer Science and Engineering

1651

Naval Architecture and Ship Building

618

Electronics and Communication Engineering

2662

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

2970

Information Engineering

2617

Safety and Fire Engineering

1855

Polymer Science and Engineering

2330

Instrumentation Technology

2498

Mechanical Engineering

2321

Civil Engineering

3151

As you can see, for a general category candidate, the closing ranks did not go beyond 3000 in the previous year. However, for an SC/ST candidate, the closing ranks are more relaxed. Also, if you are from some other state, 50% seats are reserved for Keralite students.

During CUSAT spot allotment, you can get the seats that are left or not filled up. These seats are filled rank-wise. Speaking statistically, a lot of students who are above you rank-wise will show up during the spot allotment. So, your chances depend upon the number of candidates above you who show up on that day.

Which is better for an MD in general medicine, KMC Manipal or Mangalore? I got allotted in KMC Mangalore. Should I need to upgrade?

PP
Pratik Parikh Posted On : September 28th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

My friend was an MBBS Student at KMC Mangalore, so here are some highlights of the institute

  • The clinics are well-equipped and the patient lod is also decent.
  • Enjoys a good reputation among the medical colleges in India.
  • It’s bad one private hospital, KMC Attavar, and one Super specialty hospital, KMC Jyothi Circle
  • The workload is a lot because the hospital is completely managed by residents and interns. You will be responsible for everything from OPD to file maintenance to rounds to sample collection.
  • Students are required to be proficient in each case early in the morning as they will be enquired about every patient that they are allotted
  • You have to update treatment and paperwork, attend class, and be ready to present short bedside cases.
  • PG students have to attend a theory class in the morning and in the afternoon twice a week, there is short group teaching, with the presentation.
  • Students need to learn basic Kannada without which you won’t be able to interact with patients.
  • The hostel facilities are great and Mangalore is a city of students so it won’t be difficult to find good food at low prices, beaches, bars, clubs, malls, etc
  • Mangalore is a port city so it's better connected than Manipal.
  • There is a dual rating system wherein the professors rate the students, and students rate the professors. This helps the college to keep a check on the quality of education and improve energy year.

It will definitely be a great choice if you choose KMC Mangalore.

How much percentile is needed to get through the admission criteria of Jaipuria Institute of Management in Noida?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : July 13th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

You will get into Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow even without giving any exam. Tier 4,5 institutions aren’t a good choice for pursuing your management studies.

The top 25 business schools have the right to claim that they provide the necessary management education and experience. You must aim to pursue your management studies from the top 25 business schools. By top 25, I mean the best 30-35 institutions

that can be grouped into the top 25.

I did some research on what management institutions you should join to have a successful career. According to me, do not choose Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow as your priority. If you wish to get a good start, score well in the CAT examination, and get 90+ percentile. You can then secure a seat in one of the best management institutes that will groom your personality and provide you with the necessary skills.
