What is the placement scenario at NIT Delhi?
My friend is currently a student at NIT Delhi and as per her, NIT Delhi has an outstanding placement scenario. The highest package recorded for the year 2022 was INR 82.63 lacs which is the highest among other NITs. Surprisingly enough, this package was bagged by a student of EEE department and not the CSE department. Although, the institute did not release official placement statistics, the branch-wise average packages are
- CSE: INR 18–20 lacs
- ECE: INR 15–18 lacs
- EEE: INR 15–18 lacs
Based on the NIT Delhi NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during NIT Delhi BTech and MTech placements 2022 stood at INR 14.75 LPA and INR 15 LPA, respectively. Out of 163 students, a total of 142 students were placed in the Btech batch whereas 33 out of 56 students were placed in the MTech batch.

How are the placements for an IT at NIT Raipur?
During NIT Raipur placements in 2022, there were 91 eligible students and 85 offers received during the placement season. This is indicative of the good placements at NIT Raipur, where most sincere students during their academic years are able to get jobs with decent packages.
The average salary package offered during the placements is around 17 LPA, with the lowest salary package being 6 LPA. IIM Shillong placement cell is not very helpful. The placement records shown are edited. Students do not get a return of what they had paid for. The placement committee is responsible for conducting a well-organized placement drive. The committee tells all the recruiting companies that they have got the first slot. Students are also forced to carry out this lie.
According to the official website, the summer placement highlights for 2021 are as follows.
- The highest CTC offered this year was around 3 lakhs. While the average CTC offered was around 1.31 lakhs. The average CTC has witnessed a 17% jump from last year.
- The average stipend received by the top 20% and top 50% of the batch was 2.36 LPA and 1.67 LPA respectively.
- A total of 68 recruiters participated in the campus drive spanning across different domains.
- Sales and Marketing remained the most sought-after domain, with 33% placement offers. Consulting & Strategy (24%) and Finance (17%) were the following domains.
- Aditya Birla Group, AB InBev, Cognizant, Emami Group, Goldman Sachs, Google, ICICI Bank were among the regular recruiters.
- IBM, Brain Capacity Network, Deloitte India, Pepsico are some of the first-time recruiters that participated in the 2021 summer placements.
- This summer placement witnessed a 100% increase in the number of offers made in General Management.

What is the average package offered to a PGDM student in IMS Ghaziabad?
IMS Ghaziabad had a successful placement drive in 2022, with a high number of recruiters participating. A total of 110 students were placed with an average salary of INR 8.25 LPA, with the highest domestic salary reaching INR 26.17 LPA. The top 50 students received an average salary of INR 10.25 LPA.

What is the actual average salary for NMIMS Mumbai? Is it really worthwhile to do an MBA from NMIMS, considering the huge fees and inflated placement reports?
One of my friends got into NMIMS through NMAT. According to him, it was not the most sorted choice as their rankings and placement reports are inflated.
- They show an average package of 16 LPA being offered to 550 students but it is impossible to get that.
- Usually students receive a 12-13 LPA for core subjects and 9-10 LPA for HR.
- NMIMS is a popular brand, thus the brand name attracts lots of students in Hyderabad and Bangalore campus. But they are not good enough as generally promoted.
- IMT, NMIMS, SIBM, XIMB were once one of the top private B-schools . But their standards have degraded recently. Only MDI managed to maintain and move forward.
- No other B-school increased fees like NMIMS. Its fees are more than XLRI and IIM A, B and C.
- The building at NMIMS is also not great, according to the fees that they charge.
- No other college charges its candidates for conducting CDPI or GDPI. Whereas NMIMS students have to pay 1000 rupees.
- After the release of the results, students have to pay fees of about 9 lakhs in just 1 week.
Spending a huge amount for MBA education is not a great idea. People might consider it an investment, but you have to make an informed decision by also considering the ROI. Therefore, if you are an outstation student consider other colleges than NMIMS.
How is safety and fire engineering in CUSAT and what is the average package for this branch?
The Fire and Safety Engineering Department is one of the best at CUSAT. As one of my friends studied there, I might be able to share some details which can help you with your question.
- This department has got good infrastructure along with good faculties.
- About 90% of the students of this branch get a good offer for a package.
- But this field is limited to getting a job, as most of the companies recruiting on-campus look for other colleges.
- The competition will be less as very few colleges offer this kind of branch.
- CUSAT is the best fire and safety branch in India.

You will get placement with the package of INR 8-10 LPA initially for PSU in the sector of Oil. The placements are mostly in the field of public sector units like IOCL, GAIL, and ONGC.
How was the placement of the first batch at IIM Bodh Gaya?
IIM Bodh Gaya is fortunate to have the mentorship and guidance of IIM Calcutta, one of the premier management institutes in India. How is the M.Tech in welding technology at NIT Trichy in terms of placements?
Welding technology has the distinct advantage of having some organizations who come to NIT Trichy solely to hire welding masters. In core welding firms, more than 50% placement is guaranteed. During the placement process, many software and mechanical firms visit the campus.
- According to the recent placement highlights, the placement average for Welding Technology was around 60%. The placement average is less this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
- The average CTC offered in the placement is 7-9 LPA.
- The major recruiting companies that visit the campus are Tata Steel, Caterpillar, Lincoln, etc. NDT companies also recruit from Welding. If you have the required skills you can also sit for software and data science roles.
- Almost 60% of the branch get placed in Mechanical core while the remaining 40% get placed in sectors like software, marketing, etc.
If you have good CGPA and decent communication skills then getting into core sectors from Welding Engineering at NIT Trichy will not be that difficult.
What type of college is LNCT Bhopal, and what is the average placement offered? How is the EC branch of this college?
Among the state private engineering colleges, LNCT is ranked first in every category. In terms of college, the campus is nice, and the infrastructure is good (as per state colleges).
Perks:
- The college atmosphere is often positive. Classes are held on a regular basis, and there is strong discipline.
- The placement scenario is excellent especially for CS, IT, and EC.
- Wipro, Infosys, and cognizant are among the companies that recruit students from LNCT. These companies specialize in mass recruitment. These companies offered annual packages ranging from 3 to 3.5 lakhs.
- Many small telecommunications companies also recruit at colleges. The package offered is around 3 lakhs.
- In LNCT, students mostly study CS, IT, and EC. Given that it is an RGPV college, one can expect additional study-level parameters.
Disadvantages:
- The need for 75% attendance for good session grades is inconvenient.
- It becomes more like a school with a higher attendance percentage.
- Other competitive tests (if desired) cannot be prepared for till the third year. For good grades, attendance is important.
These are a few factors that you need to keep in mind if you are considering joining LNCT.
How are the placements at NIT, Durgapur?
NIT Durgapur has been recording excellent placements over the last few years. The placements are exceptionally good for the CSE branch followed by ECE. Other branches have an average growth and Civil and Biotech have performed poorly.
During NIT Durgapur placements 2023, the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary stood at INR 13.64 LPA.
