Before taking admission I visited both Sambalpur University and Lovely Professional University campuses. 

I chose LPU because the university has a world-class infrastructure. The university also provides internship opportunities through more than 700 tie-ups with national and global organizations. Microsoft, SAP, Bosch India, Amazon India, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, Cadence, Cisco, and many more are the top recruiters. So, these are the reasons why students prefer LPU for pursuing BTech. 

At last, by observing everything about the LPU I have decided to be admitted to Lovely Professional University because of the better placement opportunities.

I visited the campus of both LPU and Manipal University for admission to the BTech IT course. 

I observed that LPU is one of the best private engineering colleges in Punjab. According to the World University Rankings, LPU got the 23rd rank among top universities in India in 2023 and was ranked 25th in India by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024. Some of the highlights of LPU are given below:

• Placements: According to the 2023 placement, the highest package offered is up to 3 CR. The top recruiters are global brands like Apple, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bank of America, Intel, BOSCH, etc.
• Ranking: According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024, LPU has the 25th rank in India.
• Fee: The fee structure of the BTech course is around INR 4.5 lakhs - 16 lakhs, depending on the specialisation. 

If you have scored 57.4% in class 12, you are not eligible to appear in the LPUNEST, CUET, or JEE Main for BTech admission at LPU. 

The eligibility criteria for BTech CSE at LPU is that candidates need to qualify for class 12th with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and English or equivalent. You need to be eligible for the entrance test (LPUNEST CUET or JEE Main) for BTech admission at LPU. 

LPU sends its CSE students for industrial training, generally at top software companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, Microsoft, ABB, ISRO, etc. Companies hire for 2-4 month industrial training program on the basis of candidate’s performance in aptitude tests and interviews. These industry projects will help students in the corporate world and help them become competitive and ready for the real world. At the end of the program, students at LPU can get certificates from the company, which will be helpful in their future jobs at top companies.

The faculty of all the branches of the BTech department at Parul University is highly qualified and has degrees from reputed institutes in India and abroad. Here, the faculty uses a two-way interactive teaching approach and works hard to provide students with a systematic process for assessment and feedback. The learning environment is comprehensive and very positive.

I applied for the BTech ECE course at Parul University last year. The eligibility criteria for admission is as follows:

• You need to pass 12th with mandatory subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology. 
• You need to score at least 45% of marks in theory and practical in these subjects. 
• There is a 5% relaxation of marks for reserved category students (SC/ST/OBC).

I am a B.Tech student at LPU, and I appeared for LPUNEST in 2022. 

In case there are no slots available for the exam center of your choice, you can fill in an alternate center. If you are failing to get a slot option due to technical difficulties, make sure there are no discrepancies in your registration/application form. In case you find some, refill your form.

If your problem does not resolve even after taking these measures, I would suggest you call the university office. The admission counselors will help solve your problem. In any case, the university will call you in a day or two and guide you through the formalities. They might even give you a slot on their own. The information of the same will be given on your dashboard.

As per my knowledge, Yasir M. who graduated in BTech CSE course at LPU was offered a record-breaking package of INR 3 crore by Global MNC in Germany. Harekrishna Mahto is a BTech CSE student at LPU and has the highest package of INR 64 lakh from Google, India. In 2022, a BTech graduate named Arjun also got the INR 63 lakh package in the AI/ML domain.

Yes, LPU offers lateral entry admission to BTech in Information Technology. The duration of BTech IT course is 3 years. The fee structure for the BTech IT course via lateral entry is INR 8,40,000. If you opt for a hostel, you need to pay the hostel fee of INR 3,00,000.

The per-semester fee for BTech ECE at Parul University is INR 1.49 Lakhs each. Therefore the total fee for the four-year program is INR 5.96 Lakhs.
