AB
Aditya Banerjee Posted On : April 26th, 2023
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una

IIIT Una is one of the newer IIITs in India, established in 2015. Despite being a young institute, IIIT Una has made significant progress in establishing itself as a leading institution in engineering and technology. The institute offers several undergraduate and postgraduate programs in computer science, electronics, communication, and data science.

IIIT Una has a strong faculty team with extensive experience in academia and industry. The institute offers students the opportunity to work on research projects in collaboration with industry partners and research organizations.

In terms of placement opportunities, IIIT Una has an active placement cell that works towards providing its students with excellent career opportunities. The institute has had successful placement seasons in the past with many reputed companies visiting the campus for recruitment. However, as with any institute, placements may vary from year to year, and individual student performance may also impact job prospects.

Ultimately, your decision to join IIIT Una should depend on your career goals and aspirations. If the institute's curriculum and programs align with your interests, and you feel confident that you will thrive in the institute's academic and research environment, then IIIT Una could be a good option for you.

Is it advisable to go for a new IIM like IIM Jammu and do MBA? It is being mentored by IIM Lucknow so will placement be also mentored by them?

PD
Prabhjot Dev Posted On : February 13th, 2024

IIM Lucknow mentors IIM Jammu with respect to faculty, curriculum and pedagogy. IIM Jammu and IIM Lucknow have almost the same teachers, barring a few. Moreover, the pedagogy and curriculum of both these colleges is the same. But IIM Lucknow does not extend its mentorship in case of IIM Jammu placements.

The crowd of new IIMs is really good. The students from IIM Jammu are tough opponents for IIM A B C students in various competitions. IIM Jammu has a student exchange program that offers meritorious students to complete a trimester at a European university. The placements of IIM Jammu are equal to other baby IIMs.

IIM Jammu carries the prestigious ‘IIM’ tag which has a high value in the industry. I would recommend you join IIM Jammu for your MBA.

NIT Trichy is considered one of the best NIT’s to exist. NIT Trichy is also known for its placement stats and records. The placements for Process Control and Instrumentation or the other departments for MTech or any post-graduate degree in NIT Trichy purely depend on the talent of the students.

One of my seniors from Process Control and Instrumentations in NIT Trichy got his placement in GE. According to him, students get placement based on their overall performance and skills. In NIT Trichy you will find many more companies visiting the campus when compared to any other NITs. According to the recent placement highlights, the placement average for M.Tech at the institute was 87% and the average CTC offered at the institute was 6 LPA.

How is ISB Mohali campus compared to the Hyderabad one in terms of student quality, placements and education?

SG
Senjuti Guha Posted On : March 22nd, 2022
studied at Indian School of Business (2018)

It’s hard to draw a differentiating line between the two campuses.

Peer Group:

The admission committee selects the incoming class and distributes it across the two campuses. So, you will get a similar peer group at both campuses.

Placements:

ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali conduct placements as a single school. Fore placements, students of one campus fly down to another. Students also don’t mention their campus on their CV. ISB Mohali placements 2022 had an average CTC of INR 34.07 LPA.

Education:

The quality of education and pedagogy are the same for both campuses. The faculties shuffle between the campuses and there are guest faculties from reputed B-Schools like MIT, Kellogg, LBS, etc.

At ISB Mohali, you will get almost the same academic experience as ISB Hyderabad.

What about the placements and internships at IILM Greater Noida?

LC
Lipika Chakraborty Posted On : March 26th, 2021
Studied at IILM Graduate School of Management, Greater Noida.

The PGDM course, offered by IILM Graduate school of Management, mainly has AIU affiliation at Greater Noida. It is the best Management Institute after Bimtech in Delhi and other NCR locations, as per the AIMA list.

One of my friends was an Alumni of this institute and he always recommends choosing IILM. This is because this institute provides enormous knowledge and various career opportunities by which a student can easily excel in his or her life.

  • Basically, this institute has trimesters type of course divisions. If you are in the last trimester of your first year, the companies will offer summer internships. It may include both paid and unpaid internships.
  • If your CAT score is less than 85%, then you can take admission to this institute to study management. There should be no year gap in your career then you can easily choose IILM for the management studies.
  • The curriculum of MBA is comparatively old which is the reason for the fewer placement statistics. But, approximately 100 or more companies come here to offer internships and final recruitment of the students.
  • Companies include Hettich, Saint Gobain, Grail Research, Dassault, KPMG, Evaluserve, E&Y, Axis, Yes Bank, Deloitte, Airtel, Bandhan Bank, Reliance Jio, and many more.

Before taking admission in IILM, it should be kept in mind that this institute has more or less 9000+ alma affairs. You will be provided with the best way to grab knowledge considering the campus and helps you to be connected with the career development center of this management institute.

Studied at BITS Goa

According to the placement reports of BITS Goa, the average annual package for the B.E. Computer Science and M.Sc. Computer Science students was around 13-15 lakhs per annum for the year 2021. You can expect a huge list of companies to come to your campus, including top names such as Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Apple, and Google.

It's worth noting that salary should not be the only factor considered when evaluating job opportunities; factors like work-life balance, company culture, and growth potential can be equally important.
