What is a review for Ashoka University for computer science? Will it provide the right environment for computer science?

AB
Adrita Banerjee Posted On : January 12th, 2021
B.Sc (Hons.) in Computer Science, Ashoka University, (2019)

The course of coding at Ashoka is not as good as the IIT’s of India. Studying here I can tell that Coding is still in development, rather being a newer establishment.

Course structure

  • At Ashoka, Computer Science is not focused only on programming. If any student is interested in coding, they are given many opportunities to achieve greatness in that particular field.
  • The university organizes City Hackathons and provides extra-credit assignments every week.
  • You can work with the faculty to develop your interest further in programming.

Categories

Ashoka University

Course Fees

21.35 lakh

Course Duration

3 years (6 semesters)

Placement Percentage (overall)

80-100%

Highest CTC (overall)

23 LPA

Average CTC (overall)

6-7 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Microsoft, Google, etc.

Job Roles Offered

Database Administrator, Game Developer, etc.

Facilities:

  • Every student is given access to all the required resources.
  • Improvement of coding at Ashoka depends on each individual and how much time they can invest.
  • The university will make sure that you receive the best quality of teaching and resources available.

Faculty

  • Ashoka University is famous for its faculty members. The teachers are highly skilled and cooperative.
  • Most of the faculty members have or are pursuing a Ph.D. degree.

Therefore, if not the best, Ashoka University is considered the next big university in India, now and hopefully in the upcoming years. Choosing to study Computer Science here will help you further in your career.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

AD
Ayan Dey Posted On : June 14th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science, University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (2020)

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

  • It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
  • The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
  • UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
  • The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
  • UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.

Why is IMI Delhi not good for somebody with an experience of 2.5 years? I have got a PGDM offer from IMI Delhi and I was looking for honest opinions about the college.

I cannot agree with the claim that IMI Delhi is not good for someone who has an experience of more than two years. My friend told me that her batch in 2020 had an average work experience of 32 months.

Joining an elite B School is not enough. Once you have successfully joined the desired B School, you need to make constant efforts to remain at the top. Just getting admission is not enough. You need to work relentlessly and meet the standards of the institute.

Even if someone has an experience of more than 2 years, he cannot cut down his efforts to remain at the top. He needs to maintain his sincerity toward academics because there is tough competition. Giving your best is the key once you have been admitted to a good B School. Keep aside secondary factors like work experience and pay academics.

What is your review of Lady Hardinge Medical College?

SP
Shreya Palit Posted On : October 22nd, 2021
Studies MBBS at AIIMS, 2022

One of my sisters is a part of Lady Hardinge College and her experience at the college has been amazing.

The college has a gigantic auditorium and administrative block, other than which there are no efficient places to talk about.

You will enjoy several outings during your stay at the college because the campus lacks a good food joint. You can also order food from nearby restaurants in Paharganj or Connaught Place. The food is nominally available in the food mess at the hostel which is not tasty.

The major downside is the infrastructure it has, as opposed to other institutes such as AIIMS, MAMC, or UCMS. The gymnasium at the college is not very well equipped. However, as per what my cousin states, it is a decent university when talking academically.

What is your review of Jiwaji University Gwalior?

SM
Saurav Mishra Posted On : October 25th, 2021
studied B.Sc Computer Science at Jiwaji University

I know a few people from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Based on the reviews I got from them, I will advise against choosing this institute.

  • The management and administration are not that great.
  • They declare results and examination notifications quite late.
  • The management hardly listens to the worries of students.
  • The facilities offered for different departments are not good.
  • It also doesn’t offer any placement opportunities to students.

Considering all these factors, it will be best if you choose other universities for your degree.

Is MBA in HRM a good option in terms of academics and placements from the new IIMS? I have heard that only IIM Ranchi is good for HRM.

SA
Shrishti Arora Posted On : January 19th, 2023
MBA aspirant

Many of the old and new IIMs do not place as much emphasis on HR jobs or electives as XLRI and TISS. If you took a few HR electives and graduated from an old IIM, you may still be able to secure a decent HR job. However, attending XLRI or TISS would likely be a more practical choice for someone interested in a career in HR. New IIMs, including IIM Ranchi and IIM Indore, which now offer PGP HRM programs, tend to have fewer top general management or consulting roles available and almost no great HR roles.

An MBA in HRM is generally considered most useful from XLRI, TISS, SCMHRD, XIMB, and MDI. If you are considering an MBA in HR from IIM Raipur, Udaipur, Sambalpur, Jammu, Nagpur, Bodh Gaya, Trichy, or Vizag, it may not be the best decision.

What are the reviews for an executive diploma in digital marketing at IIM Calcutta?

AS
Aditya Shekhar Posted On : December 1st, 2022
MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (Graduated 2020)

The following review is based on personal experience with my sister who got enrolled in the current batch.

The following points will surely change your mind regarding the executive diploma in digital marketing at IIM Calcutta:

  • Quality of the batch is extremely poor. It is more like a money making program than a knowledge imparting one.

  • The fee for this program is exceptionally high. The course is priced at 3,28,000 for just 6 months. Whereas digital marketing institutes offer better courses at fees as low as INR 5000.

  • The quality of the curriculum is below average. Rather than focusing on the main topic they are stuck to age old basic concepts of traditional marketing.

  • No placement assistance is there for this programme.

  • Lastly, this certification adds no value to your CV.

Don’t go for this program. The time and money are not worth investing in. Rather go for digital marketing institutes where industry experts will teach you better skills at low fees and less duration.

What is your review of Bangalore University?

SM
Sonali Malhotra Posted On : November 30th, 2021
Bachelor of Commerce Bangalore University & Master of Commerce, Guwahati University (2018)

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

  • Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
  • They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
  • The faculty never completes the syllabus.
  • The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
  • The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
  • There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
