Rohit Jawa's path to CEO of HUL exemplifies the transformative power of FMS Delhi. The college's rigorous academics equipped him with the business foundation needed for the FMCG industry, while its focus on well-rounded development shaped his leadership and communication skills. Rohit joined HUL straight out of FMS as a management trainee, and his 35-year climb through the ranks to CEO is evidence of the program's ability to prepare students for exceptional careers.
In terms of Faculty, FMS's MBA program is beyond par as compared to other B Schools as most faculties have years of experience and are the leading academicians in the country in their area of expertise. Examples are Prof. Kavita Singh for OB, Prof. Venkat Raman for HR etc. FMS Delhi follows a semester system so it makes it difficult for students to go on international exchange programs.
Candidates are shortlisted based on a weighted score. This score is calculated by combining the percentiles from all three sections of the CAT exam (VARC, DILR, and QA) with differential weightage (40% 30% 30% respectively). Additionally, your marks from Class X and XII are considered (10% weightage each), with a bonus for scoring above 75% (10 points) or between 60-74% (5 points).
There's also an encouraging diversity factor: women candidates receive an additional 5 points for shortlisting purposes only. If you make the cut-off for this shortlist, you'll be invited for a Personal Interview (PI) where your performance will be evaluated alongside your weighted CAT score, academic marks, and a discussion on your Statement of Purpose (SOP). The weightage for final selection breaks down as follows: 50% for the weighted CAT score, 10% each for Class X and XII marks, 10% for the SOP discussion, 5% for Extempore and 15% for your performance in the PI.

The average placement is of 16.15 LPA which is comparatively good with a fees of 11.5 lakhs, thus offering a good ROI, Additionally, placements are based on students performance. Those who excel academically and possess strong skills can attain even higher packages. The students who are not able to perform well in academics and are not much good in other activities and also not have good skills also get a decent package of around 8-9 LPA, which isn't bad considering the fees, especially for those not performing as well.
