If you ask me, I think you should opt for Mechanical at IIT Bhubaneswar rather than choosing ED at IITM. I am saying this not because I am a student of IIT Bhubaneswar but because of the high academic standards the institute maintains.
One should judge not only the merits of the branch chosen in the university but the university as a whole to make a sound conclusion.
Overall, the university offers adequate resources and facilities to gain practical knowledge in your chosen branch, the success rate of placement will depend more on the merit of the student.
Amity University Noida is a better option for B.Tech in CS. It offers good infrastructure. Amity has a good faculty base for CSE. Reputed MNCs such as Infosys, IBM, TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc. recruit from the campus drive. According to the recent highlights of Amity Noida placements, the average CTC for the CSE students is around INR 4.5-5 LPA.
CSE has been at the top and has become the branch that has ruled over core branches for more than a decade now. Even though CSE course works are given specific modifications by each college separately, though the major outline of the course work is still quite similar.
IIT Bombay has explicitly designed the course for CSE to provide students more in-depth knowledge about algorithms by introducing subjects such as Discrete Structures, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and Introduction to Electrical and Electronics Circuits. These subjects are mainly introduced to help students develop skill sets required to understand how a machine works and to give a deeper understanding of how to analyze data and structure. These particular subjects are introduced prior to Coding so that it would enhance their understanding which directly relates to a better understanding of Algorithms.
Whereas the course works of IIT BHU involve subjects such as Probability and Statistics, Engineering Mechanics, and Discrete Math. Though, these subjects are important but not as challenging as proposed by IIT-Bombay. Subjects such as Algorithms, Operating Systems and Artificial Intelligence are introduced by IIT BHU in the 4th Semester, and in comparison to IIT-B, it can be said that CSE course work of IIT BHU provides students a slow start.

One of my friends had an option between Mechanical at IIT Indore and CS at a new IIT. He chose Mechanical at IIT Indore. Judging by his experience it is safe to say that he made the right decision at least for 2-3 more years.
The choice is up to you if you would rather trade off on the branch or on the institution. If you are confident you can secure a good future from the limited opportunities a new IIT can offer, you should go for it.

CGC Landran is an older college with a better reputation than Chandigarh University simply because more people are aware of it. Whereas Chandigarh University is a newer institution with the same owner.
However, there are some significant differences between CGC Landran and Chandigarh University -
CGC Landran is a college affiliated with another university. This means that your DMCs, degree and other formalities will take some time. Whereas Chandigarh University is a deemed university, you can get all of these documents quickly.
Because Chandigarh University is a university, they have the freedom to change its syllabus and rotate its subjects in response to industry demands, which CGC Landran does not have.
Placements at CGC Landran and Chandigarh University are all the same because they all take place at the same time.
Chandigarh University has a growing campus with 1 or 2 buildings being built every 6 months, whereas CGC Landran is a fully constructed campus. CU is also very developed now, with over 15 food joints and cafeterias, which is fantastic. You can decide for yourself by visiting both campuses.
Teachers at CU are much better than teachers at CGC Landran because they are paid more. Because a university pays its teachers more than a college. And it goes without saying that the more you pay, the more you get.
CGC is the location. Landran is in a small city near Chandigarh, and buses to Rajpura, Patiala, Sirhind, and Kharar are not readily available due to the longer time intervals between them. CU, on the other hand, is directly on the Chandigarh-Ludhiana national highway, with a bus leaving every 10 minutes for either Chandigarh or Ludhiana. For Patiala students, CU is closer to Patiala than CGC, even though CGC is closer in distance.
Overall, they are similar institutions, but the distinction between a college and a university cannot be overlooked. If you can, go for CGC; if you can't, CU is the better option.
Both colleges have a good reputation but which is a better option that depends upon a number of factors. CGC Landran is ranked in 210-250 band by NIRF 2020 whereas DAVIET is ranked 100 by India Today.
Given below is a brief overview of the two colleges.

DAVIET fee structure is lower than CGC Landran. DAVIET has an average annual fee of Rs. 70,000 whereas CGC Landran has an average annual fee of Rs.96,000.
Scholarships:
CGC Landran offers merit scholarships, merit-means scholarships, scholarships for differently-abled students, etc.
DAVIET offers Post Matric Scholarships to eligible candidates from the reserved category as per the Punjab Govt/IKG PTU norm.
Placement:
CGC Landran has better placement (almost 100%) in IT/CSE department as compared to DAVIET Jalandhar and for core streams like Mechanical, Electrical etc both are equally good. On the other hand, DAVIET has a lower placement percentage but has a higher average salary as DAVIET does not allow mass recruiters which offer less than 3 LPA packages.
Every year top companies like Samsung, IBM, Microsoft, Dell etc visit both the campuses.
In terms of placement percentage, CGC Landran has led with 100% placement compared to DAVIET Jalandhar which has 85% placement.
The average package of both the colleges is the same 3.5 LPA.
The highest package of CGC Landran is 35 LPA whereas the highest package of DAVIET Jalandhar is only 10 LPA. As CGC is a group of institutions, it has advantages over the highest package data.
So, the choice of college purely depends on one’s priority. Placement wise CGC Landran has an edge over DAVIET but if you consider fee structure and campus location or exposure then DAVIET is better. DAVIET is located in Jalandhar city and hence has location advantage and better connectivity than CGC Landran. Academically both are equally good colleges and their average placement is similar. DAVIET has comparatively a smaller number of placements but quality placements and CGC has more placements from mass recruiters.
