Which is better IIM Shillong or IIM Indore?

YV
Yashluv Virwani Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Shillong

Your evaluation criteria should be as follows:

  • Alumni Center.
  • Typical Student Profile.
  • Companies that visit and the kinds of profiles they offer will depend on your area of interest.

Because it is more established than IIM Shillong. Thus, IIM I has a larger base.

Make a note of your main area of interest. Many candidates struggle with this because they are uncertain or occasionally even ignorant of all the options. Make a list of a few broad areas in that case. Then, pay attention to the visitors' names and, more importantly, the kinds of profiles that are being offered. Once more, the statistics are widely accessible, even on the college website.

Can we move in Indore city while in IIM Indore doing my PGP?

SR
Sreenjini Roy Posted On : August 25th, 2021
Indian Institute of Management Indore (2018)

Yes, you can. But you will have fewer chances to go out even if you want to. Not at least in the first term. First of all the campus is situated around 20 km away from the main city of Indore at Rau. You can either use the free shuttle service offered by IIM Indore which leaves approximately every 1 hour and stops at all major stops in the city. You can also opt for the government bus service. Otherwise, you may use the Ola/Uber cab service which will pick you from inside the campus. But this will be pretty expensive.

But the important part is that you will be immersed in your summer internship processes, classes, projects along with the selection processes of various clubs and committees. So you will hardly get any time. It will progressively become more relaxing, but still, it will be difficult.

If you will get the time you can visit places such as C21 and Treasure Island malls, Chappan Dukan which is a street food paradise. If you do any live projects with some local clients, you will have to always visit the market.

Which is best, IIM Indore or Shaheed Sukhdev?

KC
Kamala Choudhary Posted On : August 28th, 2021
Studied at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2015)

Having known some people graduating from both IIM Indore and Shaheed Sukhdev, I got to know that among the two Shaheed Sukhdev is a better option.

  • They provide a better return on investment.
  • It's better to have more options than to pay 30+ lakhs and get a job of 11 to 15 lakhs while paying the loan for 4 years.
  • There is a very strong chance to go for the CAT or GMAT to pursue PGDM courses from B-schools which are higher in rank and more reputed than IIM Indore.
  • Shaheed Sukhdev offers similar job opportunities like any top IIM or NITs.
  • Being in Delhi you would get more industrial exposure for internships, jobs, seminars, etc.
  • It has a much lower fee structure than IIM Indore.
Categories IIM Indore Shaheed Sukhdev
Course Fee 15.01 lakhs 1.36 lakhs
Highest CTC 24 LPA 22 LPA
Average CTC 12 LPA 10-12 LPA
Recruiting Companies Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, ZS Associates, etc. TCS, PWC, Deloitte, Dell, etc.

All these reasons are good to favor Shaheed Sukhdev over IPM IIM Indore. Having said that, IPM at IIM Indore also has its own set of advantages. So you need to make a wise decision and go for the one that suits you best.

Which coaching is better IMS or TIME for IPM IIM Indore?

RJ
Rohan Jain Posted On : January 4th, 2023
Studied at Integrated Program in Management, IIM Indore (Graduated 2021)

I will seriously not recommend you to go for TIME. The first choice is PRATHAM if not then IMS.

The IIM paper is always tough and covers maximum mathematical questions. They are both difficult as well as time consuming.

Questions are never repeated in this paper. But if the study material and faculty is the same, what is actually different? The approach towards the exam and your attitude towards it.

Having a healthy approach is the key to crack this paper. You should not aim to excel, rather try to attain scores better than others.

Can anyone provide reviews about PGPMX diploma from IIM Indore?

SD
Shruti Das Posted On : January 23rd, 2024
Studied at Indian Institute of Management, Indore, (2020)

I completed my PGPMX diploma from IIM Indore a few years back. Here is my honest review of the course-

The curriculum is designed for working professionals with at least 5 years of experience. So it is highly practical in nature. No compromise has been made in terms of faculty. The same teachers at the main IIM Indore campus fly down to teach the PGPMX subjects.

The course is in line with present industry requirements, and the subjects are up to date. The batches are academically diverse, this will help you form valuable connections with people from different industries. The course encourages classroom discussions and allows room for a variety of perspectives. Guest lectures and sessions from industry experts are regularly held.

This is an amazing platform, and you can definitely consider PGPMX at IIM Indore.

What’s the minimum percentage required for admission in IIM Indore and Kozhikode?

GK
Gauri Kapoor Posted On : January 12th, 2023
CAT 100th percentiler, IIMA Alumnus, Co Founder at Cracku

Depending on the candidate's profile, an IIM callback minimum percentile may apply. In addition to CAT exam results, a number of other factors, including academic standing, work history, professional certifications, gender diversity, and others, are taken into consideration during the top IIMs' admissions process. Each IIM has a different approach to how much importance it places on prior academic performance. IIM Indore, for instance, places a lot of emphasis on performance in the 10th and 12th grades.

  • At IIM Kozhikode:

Three steps make up the IIMK admissions process:

  • Stage 1 requires Minimum qualifications.
  • Shortlist for Stage 2's Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
  • The Third Stage is the Final Selection.

  • At IIM Indore:

People who consistently perform well in school are known to receive rewards from IIM Indore (especially in 10th and 12th). There are three stages to the IIM Indore admissions process:

  • Stage 1 is the Requirements for Eligibility
  • Shortlisting for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview at Stage 2 (PI)
  • Final Selection at Stage Three.

This is a general overview of the IIM Indore and Kozhikode admissions process.

How many mocks should be sufficient for the IPM IIM Indore exam?

AJ
Arshit Jain Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studies at Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore (Expected 2025)

Mock exams are unquestionably the most crucial part of the IPMAT Indore exam preparation. If you carefully analyze each mock exam, about 25 to 30 would be enough to pass this one. You won't benefit from mocking someone just for the sake of mocking someone. In essence, you're just wasting your time if you don't spend two to three hours analyzing each mock. Accordingly, 1-2 months should be sufficient for you to comfortably administer and evaluate 30 mock exams.

By taking practice exams, be sure to come up with a winning strategy that will help you perform well on the real exam.

Which online coaching should I prefer for IIM Indore for my daughter?

RD
Ridhhi Dogra Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Strategy Designing (2018–present)

It is advised to take MBA coaching classes at Unacademy. The IPMAT exam, which is required for admission to the IPM program, and the preparation modules for CAT coaching are very similar.

Since the instructors at Unacademy are all former students of prestigious B-schools, they are knowledgeable about how to ace these management exams. So, without any hesitation, choose Unacademy.

Should I go for an MBA in IIM Indore or wait 1 year for better opportunities?

VG
Vedant Gautam Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Now a proud alumnus of IIM-I

IIM Indore has a lot to offer: following strict deadlines, taking on more responsibility when planning events, working closely with various batch mates on different group projects, having intense discussions in class, competitive placement seasons, fierce competition to win corporate competitions, mesmerizing sunsets (and sunrise, oftentimes getting to see both), and a wide range of opinions.

Exams, case study competitions, live projects, and events will be fun times for you to learn with and from friends. You'll come out of your shell over the next two years. You'll develop a positive outlook on your skills and your career goals as well as the ability to accept challenges as brand-new opportunities. It all depends on how much work you put in on a personal level.
