Both the college you have mentioned are not directly related. There’s nothing in common besides the brand name that they carry. 

Let’s talk about the institutes one by one.

BIMTECH, Greater Noida:

• The name expands to the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH)
• It is located in the heart of Greater Noida.
• It is a postgraduate business school that offers PGDM courses in various specializations

BITS Pilani, Goa:

• BITS expands to Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - K. K. Birla Goa Campus. BITS Pilani has around 3-4 campuses, Goa campus is one of them. Also, you would like to know that Pilani is the main college and is located in Rajasthan.
• It is a technical and science institute for higher education that offers the best courses in B. E., M. Sc., M.E., and Doctoral Programmes

Kumar Mangalam Birla is BITS, Pilani’s Chancellor & Raghuram Gunaje is BITS, Pilani’s Director.

Both of them belong to the same BIRLA Family but were started by different people. BITS Pilani was started by St. G.D. Birla. Whereas BIMTECH was started by Late Syt. B.K. Birla (youngest son of Late G.D. Birla. Hence, both the institutes are different and offer different courses.

ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology), Mumbai has received ‘A++’ accreditation by NAAC. In the current year 2020, ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology), Mumbai has been ranked by the NIRF at 18 for its Engineering degree course offered. BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Science and Technology), Goa has been accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC and is duly recognized by the UGC, offering degree programs at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level in the field of science and technology.

Admission:

Textile degree in ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology), Mumbai:

Both courses have their advantages and disadvantages. These are some of the key information about the two courses. Go through them and decide which will be better for you.

First of all, you need to understand what you want. Do you want higher education or a placement? Then ask yourself whether you want only computer science because you love the subject or simply because you want a good placement.

• If you love computer science, then do not worry and join NIT Calicut. You will learn it in an elaborate way and can then pursue a master’s or doctorate degree. 
• The fee at NIT Calicut is also lower than that of BITS Pilani.
• However, if you are like the majority of people who want CSE for placements, then I would suggest you consider BITS Pilani or any of its other campuses. 
• You have to understand that a CSE degree is not compulsory to learn to code. 
• If you join ECE or ENI programs and learn to code yourself. You can easily land a job in any IT company. 
• The salary package you will receive at BITS Pilani (any campus) will be better than that of NIT Calicut.
• The college life of BITS Pilani will also be very good. 
• You will not have the pressure of attendance. 
• There are lots of extra-curricular activities you can participate in also.

ENI and ECE are technically different branches but they are almost the same. Except for the high fee of BITS Pilani, I do not feel BITS Pilani or Goa campus is anything less worthwhile than NIT Calicut. In fact, if you want only placements, then BITS Pilani any campus should be your choice.

One of my friends is a recent sophomore at BITS Goa. He shared his first day experience there. He was shortlisted following the fourth iteration. Here is what he has to say about it,

• He was overwhelmed after actually visualizing the campus of BITS Goa.
• Due to the rainy season then, greenery dominated the campus.
• He mentioned that his first day was essentially exciting.
• Following the completion of formalities, he was allotted the room CH6 in BITS Goa hostel.
• The rooms of the hostels were stand alone, and did not have sharing policies.
• The food provided at the mess is slightly decent, since it is quite mainstream.
• The mess food does not necessarily change until at least 2 weeks, which is partially one reason why it is pretty much not heavily liked by other students.
• However, the menu is still better than what it is in other institutes, sometimes even IITs.

He mentions that his first day experience was one of the best he ever had. Following the long journey, he momentarily gave himself time to wonder which clubs to join next. This was his experience at BITS Goa on his first day.

All of the mentioned institutes are very reputed and considered among the top engineering colleges in India. The academics and course curriculum are the best with excellent placement opportunities. A lot of reputed companies are known to visit the campuses with decent salary packages. 

Students take programming very seriously and practice it a lot as it is one of the necessary skills required to become a computer engineer. The companies select students based on their coding skills and knowledge rather than looking for academic credentials. You will be selected based on your profiles on GitHub and Topcoder. Salary packages range from 5-50 LPA depending on your skills and experience. 

I have some friends who have become managers in computer engineering through personal learning and luck too. To rank these colleges, I would put NIT Calicut first, then NIT Surathkal and BITS Goa at last. The NITs are excellent and only the main campus of BITS Pilani is comparable to the NITs. 

Both MNNIT Allahabad and ENI at BITS Goa are highly ranked technology colleges offering amazing placement opportunities to their students. NIRF ranked BITS Goa at 17^th in the University category, whereas MNNIT was ranked at 48 for B.Tech in India 2020.

MNNIT’s last year placement ranking has seen a rise in the pay packages and the best placement record of almost 97%. BITS Goa on the other hand holds a stellar placement record of 100% since its inception. But while selecting between electrical engineering at MNNIT Allahabad or ENI at BITS Goa one needs to consider certain facts such as:

MNNIT Allahabad –

• Almost 285 companies visited MNNIT for campus recruitments including top tier companies such as Adobe, Accenture, Deloitte, Dell, BPCL, etc.
• 792 students out of 1174 were successfully placed in some of the top companies with the highest package offered in 2019 being INR 36 Lakhs (Per Annum)and the average package offered was 7.82 Lakhs (Per Annum).

BITS Goa –

• BITS Goa is renowned for the amazing placement opportunities that it has in store for the students. Ever since the institute has been established it has a 100% placement record.
• Some of the top recruiter companies visiting there campus are Facebook, Wipro, Google, Genpact, Infosys, and Schlumberger. In the year 2019, the highest package offered was INR 35 Lakhs (Per Annum), whereas the average salary offered was INR 11.47 Lakhs (Per Annum).

In recent years both MNNIT Allahabad as well as BITS Goa have seen a considerable hike in their placement opportunities for almost all courses. It depends more on the student’s interest and feasibility to choose between electrical engineering at MNNIT Allahabad or ENI at BITS Goa.

The Goa campus of BITS boasts of having a library that has a huge collection of reference books. Books can be borrowed on a day-to-day basis. The library does not have much crowd on normal days and you can have long study sessions there.

You can prepare yourself for the lab exams in the computer center. It is very much like preparing for the exams in the library. As the exams come nearer, you will find more and more people in the library devouring their books.

You can request the faculty to allow access to datasheets, manuals, and other materials you will need for your exams.

Almost all of the students except the FE ones get single rooms which is also another great feature about the study environment of BITS Goa.
