Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) includes the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), as well as the Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB). In contrast to XUB, which provides a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in subjects like business, law, sustainability, and communication, XIMB, a constituent school of XUB, specializes in management programs.
Despite being independent institutions, XIMB and XUB share a campus as well as some administrative and academic resources. As a result, certain activities and occasions, such as placements, workshops, and seminars, may be frequent.
However, depending on the program and the demands of the recruiters, the placement recruitment procedure for XIMB and XUB is different. The placement procedure is typically coordinated by the relevant schools and is tailored to the particular requirements and preferences of the recruiters.

XIMB is one of the best colleges in India. If I talk about their placements for the year 2020-2022, the average salary offered was 17.54 lac per annum, and the highest salary offered was 32.21 lac per annum. XIMB had placed 100% of their batch.
The year 2021-2023 has shown improvement in terms of placement. The average salary hiked to 20.03 lac per annum, the highest went to 71.50 lac per annum, and the median salary is 19.25 lac per annum.
Many big industry names go to XIMB to hire students. Their prominent recruiter is Microsoft, Adani, Standard Chartered, Asian Paints, Bain and Company, and Mckinsey.
It would be a good idea for you to go to the Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB). Since you have expressed an interest in studying operations/finance, it would be more beneficial for you to attend XIMB rather than the Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT-G). IMT-G is known to be a great college for marketing, but for other courses, XIMB has the edge. Additionally, major consulting firms, including the "big four," visit the college for placements.
However, it's important to note that the course fees for XIMB may be steeper than other institutions. Overall, XIMB would be a good choice for an overall view.
This will entirely depend on your interests, seriousness, and perspectives on entrepreneurship. If you are looking for entrepreneurship and in the future, plan to become an entrepreneur or see yourself as one, you should definitely attend it.
It is worth attending and the internship fair has more than 50 different companies that also offer internships to MBA students. In 2020, some of the prominent speakers were Chinmoy Panda, Vaibhav Agarwal, Jonathan Bill, Kanika Tekriwal.
Moreover, they also have a good Comedy Festival where that is a lot of stand-up comics that show their talent. You should attend it.
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) is one of the top management institutes in India. The institute has a well-established summer internship program that provides students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study.
The summer internships at XIMB are highly regarded and provide students with exposure to various industries and sectors. The institute has tie-ups with reputed organizations across various sectors, including banking, consulting, FMCG, IT, and manufacturing, among others.
The selection process for summer internships is competitive, and students are shortlisted based on their academic performance, work experience (if any), and performance in the interview process.
During the internship, students work on live projects and gain practical experience in their chosen field. The internships are supervised by experienced faculty members, who provide guidance and support to the students.
During the XIMB summer internships 21, as many as 91 companies visited the campus. The highest stipend offered during the internship stood at INR 3.5 lakh, while the average stipend offered was INR 1.17 lakh.
Although it is student-driven and the college placement committee supports it as needed, XIMB currently doesn't offer placement for the executive batch because most of the students coming there are on sabbatical. However, there have been discussions that indicate that if the majority chooses to pursue placements rather than taking sabbaticals, the college will begin offering them in the upcoming years.
The Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) is a great option for those considering an MBA program. You will be presented with a wealth of opportunities to learn and grow as a professional. To be considered for admission, you will need to have scored at least 214 on the NMAT, but keep in mind that there are also sectional cutoffs to be aware of. The MBA Placement 2022 season for XIMB's 34th MBA batch, which consisted of 355 students, was a success with 100% placement.
Additionally, the average salary for MBA graduates from XIMB has risen from Rs.15.15 LPA in 2021 to Rs.17.54 LPA in 2022, a 16% increase. Consulting was the top recruiting sector, with 41% of offers, and top recruiters included Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, EY, and ICICI.
If you have to choose between XIMB and IIM Amritsar I will always suggest you go for IIM Amritsar. Apart from the IIM tag, its relentless growth is a major deciding factor. The ROI at XIMB is very less in comparison to IIM. The points below will help you understand my point.
So IIM Amritsar is the best option among the 3 colleges.
If you have an aggregate percentile of above 90%, you can go with IMI Delhi as the marks are not evaluated subject-wise. However at XIMB, they have mentioned that they will have a sectional cut-off, but how much is not specified. So with such a low score in DILR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning), you may miss out.
But before you choose any of the institutes, you should ask yourself, if you put enough effort into quants and DILR while preparing? If the answer is no. Then, it will be better to prepare for another year and aim for a better score.
If you put in the hard work now, you can get into much better B-School like IIMs, SPJ, etc. A better school means more academic pressure, but in the end, you will end up with a better CTC and a reputed company. In corporate life, pressure is not available, so why not aim to do it with a better salary.
If you put in 18 hours of work for 6-7 months, your percentile will definitely improve. And if staying motivated is a challenge for you, you can get a mentor who will push you to do better.
So, although IMI and XIMB are pretty good options, it will be better if you try to better your percentile.
