Is Thapar University worth the fees charged?

DK
Deepika Kunwar Posted On : February 29th, 2024

As mentioned in the answers before mine, it depends mainly on how well you utilize these years. Engineering is a tiring course because of the constant pressure from tests, assignments, projects, and finally, the end sem exams.

Electronics is a good branch at Thapar University. The projects, assignments, classroom lectures and lab sessions involved in it are industry oriented and practical in nature. The Chemical Engineering curriculum is also quite relatable as many of the topics are touched upon during +1 and +2.

Moreover, the Chemical department hosts student exchange programs. Through that, the students go for a 5-8 week long training to countries like Russia, Bulgaria and China. Over there, they are engaged in designing research papers, and attending summits/conferences related to the Chemical industry. The student exchange program is an excellent opportunity to grab long term internships with foreign institutes, and to work on great projects.

Overall, Thapar University is worth the high fees. If you get a chance to study at Thapar, make the most of it.

What is management quota fees in Haldia Institute Technology for CSE?

SR
Shrayashee Roy Posted On : September 15th, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering ,Haldia Institute of Technology (2019)

Information regarding management quota fees is not disclosed by the institute. However, according to some of my friends who acquired admissions in the institute through it, the fees of management quota are around 2 lacs- 2.5 lacs.

The management quota fees are dependent on your negotiator, agent, consultant too. The above-mentioned amount does not include the hostel fees. It is at the time of college fees payment that the students are required to pay the hostel fees. You should consult with your seniors as they have a better knowledge regarding such matters. Although they would suggest that it would be a waste of money.

If you are interested in software, only then you should take admission at Bangalore. A few esteemed software companies such as Wipro, Infosys, etc. visit for the recruitment process.

The chemical branch at the institute is terrific. You should look into this course once as well. Your decision is concerned with building your career therefore make sure you opt for a course that would not make you have regrets later.

What is the way to pay such a high fee for an M.Tech in IIIT Delhi for a poor student?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : October 4th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

If you are opting for an M.Tech in CSE/ECE from IIIT Delhi, consider the course fee as a one-time investment. This course and college have a huge ROI, given that you work really hard during these two years.

The course will cost you somewhere around Rs. 5-6 Lakhs (including all the charges). With an educational loan, you’ll be repaying around Rs 5,70,707 in total (approximately). If you get in through GATE, you’ll get a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month, which is Rs. 2,97,600 in total. If you spend around 5000 per month, you’ll still save Rs. 1,77,600 from your stipend. So your loan will come down to Rs. 3,93,107.

If you grab a package of 20+ LPA, you’ll get a base salary of Rs. 10-12 LPA. This means an in-hand salary of around Rs. 70-80k per month. Try to save Rs. 40,000 per month. By doing so, you’ll pay your loan within a year.

Try to be mindful of your savings, and you’ll comfortably sail through.
