Should I choose NIT Trichy for CSE or IIT Roorkee for metallurgy? Why?
My brother was in the CSE branch of NIT Trichy and based on his experience, here are a few pointers:
- The professors are extremely learned and experienced and impart quality education
- The relative grading system establishes peer pressure, and as a result, there is tough competition among the students
- IIT Roorkee is well known for its rich coding culture that is promoted by student-driven and institute funded clubs. These clubs give you additional knowledge on web designing, App development, and game development that might be useful later in
- The CSE department is one of the most coveted branches, and being a part of one will inculcate a sense of privilege.
- The hostel and campus life is decent with all necessary amenities.
- A total of 5 fests are held throughout the year and are totally funded and organized by the institute. The institute is located in an area that helps you explore nearby tourist spots like Pondicherry and Ooty.
You won’t ever regret choosing NIT CSE.
How is the MCA program at NIT, TRICHY?
My younger brother is from this Institute, so I am aware of the situation here.
- MCA program at NIT Trichy is great, people coming from all over the country make it even more exciting. You get a chance to meet more diverse people there, the seniors are always there to help you at every step, and you can reach out to them at any time.
- Infrastructure, Academics, Ambiance, Decent hostels with a decent fee are there.
- The active participation in Sports, events, seminars, conferences, Technical Lectures, Cultures, Technical meets, Competitions, freelance projects, interdisciplinary research, traveling helps in the personality development of students.
- Faculties are great and quite co-operative.
- The average placement package received by the students here is 6 LPA.
In all, you will not regret choosing NIT Trichy.
Which is a better option for EEE, NIT Trichy, or BITS Goa?
You will find that both NIT TRICHY and BITS Goa are excellent colleges for EEE, and they can be rated on par based on the following parameters:

If you have a financial constraint, you may find it beneficial to join NIT TRICHY since their fees are less than half of BITS.
Alternatively, if you value having a flexible timetable where you get to choose your own professors, or if you prefer the concept of zero attendance policy, BITS may be a better fit for you.
Keep in mind that BITS does not have a reservation policy for SC/ST/OBC.
What would be better for me: NIT Trichy, DTU or NSIT CSE, if I am a north student?
NIT Trichy does not only offer a better placement scenario but also offers a unique learning experience especially if you are a north Indian. You will get to learn many new things and experience the diversity of cultures. A friend shared his experience. After studying at NIT Trichy

Which is the best among NIT Trichy production, NIT Trichy ICE, and MANIT ECE?
Since I have friends from NIT Trichy, I can give you an insight into their ICE and Production course. The department of Production Engineering at NIT Trichy is better than ICE because of the following reasons.
- The future prospects of Production Engineering are quite better than what usually is in ICE. It clearly translates to Production engineering having greater scopes in terms of placements and higher education. Most essentially, Production engineering, as opposed to ICE, is more flexible toward aspects such as salary packages and different kinds of profiles from one firm to another, as well as fields of study in higher education.
- The difference in the academic workload in the 2nd and 3rd years. In a nutshell, Production Engineering comes with a more exposed and forgiving schedule which helps provide an adequate amount of free time out of the routine. In this way, students can pursue extra-curricular interests.
So, Production Engineering is several steps ahead of ICE at NIT Trichy.
