Odisha's Utkal University's Centre for Innovation and Incubation (CII), has announced the launch of iDEATHON M2M 2021 for aspiring entrepreneurs to build up their innovative business ideas. CII mainly aims for the promotion of start-ups and generates an ecosystem for entrepreneurship development and innovation.
The CII recently launched its start-up launch pad program ‘Upakram’ through its event titled ‘iDEATHON M2M 2021’. It is a 4-week online Pre-Incubation program by Utkal University. The focus areas for Upakram Incubation Program are agri-tech, food processing, biotechnology, green technology, eco tourism, rural technology.
Students, Innovators, Early stage start-ups, Faculty and Research Scholars can take part in the event. Individuals or a Team of 4 members can participate. It is to be noted that there will be no fees for registration. The final date of registration is October 20, 2021, and the results will be declared on October 30, 2021.
The iDEATHON has it in mind at developing entrepreneurial skill in young minds, leading to the launch of Start-up. The topmost three ideas will obtain a cash award. For the finest 20 ideas, the centre will give pre- incubation support. Prototype grants will be offered for the best 5 ideas after Pre Incubation.
Utkal University Admission 2021
During the event, Dr. Manisha Acharya, CEO of CII described the implication of the iDeathon M2M 2021. Innovative ideas are welcomed and helped in building a successful business model. All the support will be provided by the Utkal University’s research lab and CII.
Prof. Sabita Acharya, Vice-Chancellor, Utkal University mentioned that the CII is giving a jumpstart through its Ideathon program “iDEATHON M2M 2021.” These will lead to create steps for making CII as the epicenter of Start-Up activity in India.
Upakram Incubation Program is a right platform to create and develop a business idea into a marketable Minimum Viable Product and practicable business model. The program will also provide a one-month pre-incubation training. It focuses on providing supply and mentoring on the new entrepreneur from ideation to implementation.
The Centre offers services like pre-incubation, incubation, acceleration, co-working spaces, seed funding, advisory support, mentoring support, market linkage, training and hand holding. It will incubate and nurture any good innovative idea which has commercial potential.
