TNOU to Offer Short Term Certificate Course on Social Justice from Academic Session 2022: Details Here


TNOU Short Term Course: As per the announcement made by TNOU Vice-Chancellor K. Parthasarathy on September 17, 2021, the Tamil Nadu Open University is now preparing to offer certificate courses in the social justice domain. 

Tamil Nadu Open University will now offer various certificate and short-term courses in social justice to all interested and eligible candidates from the academic session 2022. The new courses will be made available from the next session under the guidance of K. Veeramani, Chancellor of the Thanjavur-based Periyar Maniammai University. 

Referring to the initiative of the university, Mr. Parthasarathy added that those who are interested in the short-term TNOU Certificate Course 2022 will not be charged any tuition fee for the same. 

During the announcement, Vice-Chancellor K. Parthasarathy also added that Tamil Nadu Open University has also proposed to establish a chair in the name of ‘Periyar’ E.V. Ramasamy to highlight the revolutionary journey of Periyar. 

At present, TNOU offers a short term course in ‘Innovative Teaching and Skills for Online Classrooms’, which runs for a month-long duration. This course was launched in 2020 in collaboratuon with Learning Matters, Bengaluru.

This progran is now offered in open distance learning (ODL) mode, aiming at improving professional development and practices for school students. Interested candidates can apply at tnou.ac.in.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) Courses 2021 includes both undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in arts, commerce, and science stream. The courses offered by the university at the UG level include various specializations, such as English and Communication, Criminology & Criminal Justice Administration, Public Administration, Corporate Secretaryship, etc. 

At the postgraduate level, the Tamil Nadu Open University has added various programs in both arts as well as in the science field for students. Additionally, students who wish to pursue Library Science will have the option to apply for the M.L.I.Sc program of the university. The program is offered to all students irrespective of their streams. 

While talking about diploma and PG Diploma programs of the university, students are offered with a wide range of options. From Drama and Theatre Acting, Data Sciences and Big Data Analytics to Guidance and Counselling, all specialization is available for interested candidates.
