The Week - Hansa Survey 2020’ a performance assessment of Universities all over the country has ranked AMU at #6 among Top Indian Universities.

Aligarh Muslim University is placed in the list of top universities in India with a score of 654. The Week ranks Universities on the parameters of teaching, research, citations, industry income and the national & international outlook. It is the second consecutive year that AMU has maintained the sixth place in the ranking.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor expressed his satisfaction over the performance of AMU and mentioned that the achievement is more significant because the university is celebrating its 100th year of existence.

 He also thanked and attributed the achievement to the high-quality teaching and relevant research of the university. He added that he hopes to see improved performance of the university in the coming years.

AMU Achievements 2020

Earlier this year, AMU was ranked 3rd by India Today, one of India's leading news magazines which covers more than 1000 government and private universities. According to India Today, AMU has scored 1718.6 points out of 2000 points.

The Prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) has ranked Aligarh Muslim University in 9th place among other Universities in India. The University was ranked between 201 - 250 among Asian Universities by THE. India today has also ranked AMU’s Faculty of Law at 11th rank under the category ‘Ranking of Top Law Colleges’.
