The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has merged with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) to offer an MBA degree instead of PGDM. TAPMI's all four PGDM programs will all become MBA degree programs, with students receiving an MBA degree rather than a diploma.
For admission, TAPMI will accept CAT 2021, XAT 2022, and GMAT results.
Earlier, HS Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, notified the media about the partnership of educational entities, saying that MAHE and TAPMI completed the merger deal at the end of July.
He also added that TAPMI will process entirely under MAHE as of the following academic year as a result of this agreement. Students enrolled on TAPMI in the next year (2022-23) will be covered by MAHE, according to Ballal.
TAPMI will cover students admitted to various programs throughout the current academic year.

TAPMI MBA Admission 2022: How to Apply?
TAPMI admission is a three-step procedure that includes taking the CAT/XAT/GMAT, being shortlisted based on exam performance and profile, and the Final selection. TAPMI MBA Admissions 2022 applications must be filed online.
The deadline to apply for admission to TAPMI is January 18, 2022.

When it comes to the cause behind TAPMI's merging with MAHE, Ballal said, “All the major IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) have been giving MBA degrees till recently. Since some of them felt the need to give MBA degrees to their students, they were given deemed university status. With this, they can now give MBA degrees to their students.”
