New Delhi: IGNOU has extended the last date to submit proposals for Smart IGNOU Hackathon 2022 till February 28, 2022, for all candidates. Interested candidates can register for the event on the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in.
As per the latest notice released, the National Center for Innovation in Distance Education of IGNOU is inviting entries for its upcoming "Smart IGNOU Hackathon-2022". IGNOU is conducting this internal hackathon to select and recommend teams for AICTE’s Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2022) under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC).
Students have to form teams and find unique solutions to problem statements as mentioned on SIH website. The problems are grouped under several categories, such as Agriculture and Rural Development, Clean Water, Robotics and Drones, Healthcare, and Biomedical Devices.
Additionally, questions will be asked from Renewable Energy, Security and Surveillance, Smart Communication, Smart Vehicles, Waste Management, Food Processing, and Miscellaneous sectors.
IGNOU students who wish to participate in the Smart IGNOU Hackathon 2022 are suggested to have a computer science background, preferably MCA and BCA, etc. Candidates from other backgrounds can also join the mega event at the national level.

Smart IGNOU Hackathon 2022: How to Register Online?
Interested and eligible candidates who wish to apply for the Smart IGNOU Hackathon 2022 can now submit their registrations for the same by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in.
Step 2: From the homepage, click on the latest “Smart IGNOU Hackathon 2022” link available.
Step 3: Read the instructions with care and send your Team Name, Choose Problem Statement for the SIH Website, Idea Title, Idea Description, Idea PPT in PDF Format, and Name of Team Leader and other five Team Members at ncide@ignou.ac.in.
Step 4: Send the mail with care and keep a copy of the same for future references.

The Smart IGNOU Hackathon is expected to be held in the month of March 2022 in Virtual mode due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. Registered applicants who will join the Internal Hackathon will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation.
