New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Dr P Dayananda Pai - P Satisha Pai Government First Grade College of Mangaluru has been accredited with grade A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The grade is awarded in the second cycle of NAAC accreditation.
As per the officials, P Satisha Pai Government First Grade College was accredited in 2015 with a grade of B by NAAC. The A grade accreditation came after the NAAC Team paid a two-day visit to the college to complete the accreditation procedure on March 2 and March 03, 2023.
During the visit, the team held a meeting with the College Development Committee (CDC), which is chaired by D Vedavyas Kamath, MLA for Mangaluru South, as well as staff, students, parents, alumni, and other college stakeholders.
In addition to this, the team evaluated the college's academic and student support facilities and the overall functioning of the college. They further completed the document verification process and released the result for the same on March 10, 2023.
Speaking on this occasion, Jayakara Bhandary, Principal of the college said, "This grading by NAAC is an authentic recognition of the quality of education and facilities provided by the college which is already reputed as one of the notable higher educational institutions of the region, currently having over 2400 students”.
Adding to the statement, he shared, "This remarkable success was possible because of the support of a team of dedicated staff, CDC, PTA, Alumni Association and active participation of all students".
In addition to this, NAAC has recently accredited Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut with an A++ grade and overall score of 3.66 CGPA out of 4. With this, the university has become one of the top state universities in India.
