NITTE signed an MoU with St. Marianna University School of Medicine, Japan, after a video conference with the university authorities. According to the MoU, both the universities will work together on student and faculty exchanges and collaborative research in areas of mutual interest.
During the Google Meet, Dr Hiroaki Kitagawa, the President of St Marianna University, discussed the opportunities for collaboration and requested the participants to benefit from the MoU.
Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, the vice-chancellor of NITTE, was pleased about the initiative. Dr M S Moodithaya, the pro-vice-chancellor, explained the genesis of the association and the path ahead for the two universities.
Registrar Alka Kulkarni, Dean Dr. Prakash PS and Director of Research and Development Indrani Karunasagar represented NITTE at the discussions.
St. Marianna University School of Medicine was represented by Dean Tomohiro Kato and Deputy Director of the Centre for International Exchange Tina Tajima. Harikrishna Bhat, the director of International Collaborations- Asia Pacific, NDU, facilitated the meeting and MoU signing from Tokyo.
