Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department shared data stating about 45,500 or 65% of the total students at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University appeared for offline examination.
The final exams for undergraduate and postgraduate students were held online in most of the universities.
But around 2 lakh students from Maharashtra Colleges and Universities appeared for the offline examination.
The students stated that they lack resources to attempt the exam via online mode and hence they opted for the offline mode of examination.

Over 10.54 lakh students belonging to non-agricultural state universities appeared for final year exams in the online mode this year.
The results have not been announced for certain courses across universities but most have recorded a pass percentage of over 90 percent.

It should be noted that Aurangabad University had the highest number of students opting for offline mode of examination.
Minister Uday Samant conducted a virtual meeting with vice-chancellors of all state universities on November 6, 2020.
Samant congratulated the students of the universities for their effort, whose results have been declared.
All the universities were instructed to re-conduct the examination for students who could not attend the final semester examination because of the COVID 19.
Samant stated that examinations for such students will be conducted within 15 days after Diwali.
Students who have failed in the examination could reappear for the same within one month and there will be no changes in the result format.
The degrees will be awarded following the usual graduation ceremony, the minister stated.
Samant stated that the decision regarding the reopening of colleges physically will be taken by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after a meeting with all vice-chancellors as well as a review meeting with the State Disaster Management Committee over the Covid-19 situation.
