October 13, 2020: Lucknow University (LU) has received the highest number of applications for its Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs admission 2020. On the other hand, very few applications were received for Lucknow University's Postgraduate Diploma courses.
As per the data released by the Lucknow University, out of 28 Postgraduate diploma courses offered by the university, 20 courses received applications in one-digit numbers, while the remaining courses got none.
Lucknow University Admission 2020: Highlights
Postgraduate Diploma courses in Yoga received a total of 44 applications, while the seat available for the course was only 40. Five other Postgraduate Diploma courses of Lucknow University received a total of 40% application in comparison to seats available.

The course which has received applications will continue this year in Lucknow university, the remaining courses which did not receive any applications have been suspended for the year 2020.
For the Postgraduate Diploma course related to the child, adolescent, and maternal health, HIV-AIDS and family planning received only 6 applications out of 15 available seats.
On the other hand, for Post Graduate Diploma in Garbha Sankar, 25 students filled their application for 30 available seats. Meanwhile, Lucknow University Postgraduate courses in Tamil and aquatic wildlife conservation received no application this year, and the French Language course of the university received very fewer applications.
The Postgraduate Diploma course in cyber law received a total of 20 applications this year while the Postgraduate Diploma course in information and cybersecurity received a total of 4 applications.

A Professor of Lucknow University stated that students applied for programs that will help them in getting employment and promotion in their respective fields.
He added," For example, yoga helps in keeping fit and offers a career. Cyber laws can be understood in a short time, but cybersecurity needs a full-time course".
