To get admission to PhD program offered by LNMU, interested candidate needs to follow the eligibility criteria mentioned follows:

• Candidates must have received a Master's Degree from a recognised university.
•  They must have at least 55% in aggregate or a grade of B or higher on the UGC seven-point scale (or a comparable grade on any other grading scale) in the topic/allied subject.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/EBC/Differently Abled categories may be allowed a 5% relaxation of marks (from 55% to 50%).
• Selection of applicants for the PhD course will be done on the basis of the PhD entrance exam (PAT) conducted by LNMU.

• Applicants who have cleared the UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE examination or teachers of LNMU University are exempted from PAT.
