Kashmir University has secured 19th position among 70 Centrally funded universities in India at the Outlook Magazine Annual Ranking of Universities for the year 2020.
Recently in May 2020 Kashmir University was accredited with ‘A+ Grade University’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Outlook ranking has given a total of 631.74 points out of 1000 to Kashmir University after an analysis of its performance. The ranking considered various parameters like academic and research excellence, industry interface, placement, and facilities for students pursuing higher studies.

It has also given 272.63 points to Kashmir University in academic and research excellence while 129.88 points in placement and industrial reach. Meanwhile, 77.2 points were allocated to the university based on user-friendliness infrastructure and other facilities. The university has secured 54.25 points in diversity and outreach programs.
Formerly in the year 2020 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2020, have accorded Kashmir University with 46.99 points and 48th rank among all Indian universities.
Kashmir University Progress in Ranking
Recently NAAC has accredited Kashmir university with grade "A+" with CGPA 3.31 whereas in 2019 it had "A" accreditation.
The varsity has also gradually increased in NIRF ranking with rank "53" in 2019 to rank "48" in 2020. University has been ranked "150" by QS BRICS in 2019. It has been ranked 5012 in All world Universities ranking.
