New Delhi: IIT Roorkee and Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) have agreed to collaborate for facilitating the advancement of knowledge based on frequent interactions, reciprocity, mutual benefit and best effort.
An agreement has been signed by ARIES director Dipankar Banerjee and IIT Roorkee director Ajit K. Chaturvedi for jointly sponsoring research, development and consultancy, exchanging faculty members, scientists and students, exchanging scientific and technical matters, holding joint conferences, workshops and short-term courses, as understood from a statement made by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.
ARIES director Dipankar Banerjee has stated that ARIES will be hosting the scientific instruments of IIT Roorkee for the mutual benefit of the students and faculty members of both IIT Roorkee and ARIES.
