IIT Indore Introduces New BTech Course in Mathematics and Computing

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore has launched a new BTech Course in Mathematics and Computing for the 2023 session to offer students an opportunity to get hands-on training in the department of Mathematics and Computing.

As per IIT Indore, the BTech program will aim to provide undergraduate research and numerous laboratory courses for practical training to interested students. The course will also offer a variety of elective courses from various departments to enhance students' skill sets.

Under this IIT Indore BTech Program, students will have the option to study computer science and mathematics together through the curriculum. As of now, there are a total of 40 seats at IIT Indore for the BTech in Mathematics and Computing program.

Along with IIT Indore, the program is also offered by IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Ropar. The course will commence for four years in full-time mode (regular) mode. The curriculum is divided into eight semesters and each semester will cover 6 to 7 subjects along with elective options.

To apply for IIT Indore BTech Admission 2023, candidates need to have a valid score in JEE Advanced 2023. They must also have passed a class 12 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised state or central board to be eligible for admission.

The course is open to academicians, bankers, business, computer scientists, computational engineers, data analysts, economists and financial analysts who wish to enhance their skills in Mathematics and Computing domain. The curriculum allows students the freedom to select electives from different fields, enhancing their multifaceted knowledge.

Additionally, it gives students the opportunity to continue their education in computer science and mathematics, among other fields of science and technology.
