New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has successfully conducted the placement drive for sessions 2021-22 with an increase in average and highest salary package offered to students from the previous year's placement data.
As per IIT Hyderabad, the graduating students of this session have bagged the highest salary package of INR 53.25 lakh per annum during the placement. While the average salary package offered to students by recruiters has been recorded at INR 42.93 lakh per annum.
While for last year's placement drive, the highest average annual salary package for 2021 session stood at INR 15.41 lakh per annum, and at INR 19.65 lakh per annum for 2020 placement session. This year has recorded an increase in both the highest and average pay.
In addition to this, the number who have opted out from the IIT Hyderabad Placement 2022 drive has increased from 64 in the 2019-20 session to 115 students for this year. The highest package for overseas job offers stood at INR 53.25 lakh per annum.

Students have received job opportunities in various streams such as information technology, banking, consulting, core, product-based, e-commerce, healthcare, IT sector, education, and public sector sectors among others.
As per the officials, "This placement year has seen many changes. For example, the number of start-ups in participating companies increased, and various sector companies conducted mass recruitment".
"Companies can now easily hire diverse talent from across the country thanks to virtual recruiting" the officials stated. The students have also received various opportunities to gain industry experience for the final year through internships.
