The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has officially announced the introduction of its online summer school programme for the classes 10, 11, and 12 students. The duration of the programme will be of one week, starting from July 3 till July 10, 2021.
The main objective of the project is to engage young students positively amidst this pandemic covid-19 situation. Professor B S Sahay, the director of IIM Jammu envisions the summer programme as a way that will enhance the student’s knowledge in various fields allowing them to explore various career options available to them.
It must be noted that IIM Jammu is not charging any fees for the registration to the summer programmes. Moreover, the initiative has received around 500 applications on the very first day. The summer programme has a fun-based approach with the main aim of making the learning process fun, exciting, and enriching for the students during the Covid-19 pandemic circumstances.

The programme mainly focuses on three main modules. The first module is for students to discover new opportunities where they will learn about the Entrepreneurship and global business environment. The second module aims at learning and acquiring new skills like public speaking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and others.
Meanwhile, the third module of the summer focuses upon the self-development of the students through a session that will emphasize the importance of being happy, time management, and the value of adopting a hobby. To sum up, the summer programme is designed in such a way that it will help students in their holistic development.
