The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bodh Gaya (BG) organized the Protathlitis - a nationwide competition for Management Studies. Over 1000 students from all over the country have participated in the first edition of the competition
IIM BG has aimed to provide a unique learning experience for the business school students in different domains of management. The Protathlitis consisted of 3 rounds.
The first round of the Protathlitis competition is the Dare2Compete Quiz which will test the basic subject knowledge of Accounts, Marketing and Strategy. Two problem statements out of which one was regarding the healthcare sector and the other one was an e-learning solution for India were sent to the qualifying teams.
The teams submitted their solutions, and top 5 solutions will be presented in the Grand Finale. The top 5 teams were NITIE, IIM BG, IIM Raipur, IIM Visakhapatnam, and Sailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay.

The grand finale of the Protathlitis competition was held on December 26, 2020. It was a three-hour event which commenced with the welcome note by Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM BG.
The keynote speaker of the event was Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Senior Head-Digital Skills, Innovation, Industry Partnership & CSR National Skill Development Corporation, India. Mr. Sarvasiddhi spoke on the topic of Digital Skilling and Innovation.
The Founder and CEO of Intouch Consulting, Mr. Vijay Parthasarathy motivated the students. The teams presented their presentation. 10 minutes were provided for the presentation and 5 minutes were allocated for the Q/A round.
The event was judged by a panel of judges, Mr. Vijay Parthasarathy, Founder & CEO, InTouch Consulting, Dr. Priyavrat Sanyal, Faculty of Marketing at IIM Bodh Gaya, and Dr. Soumyajyoti Banerjee, Faculty of Communication at IIM Bodh Gaya, who evaluated the presentation and questioned the participants.

The winner of the competition will be announced soon in the social media handle of IIM BG. Being the first edition, Protathlitis holds various records. To promote the event, campus ambassadors were appointed in various colleges.
The Protathlitis competition was sponsored by the Union Bank of India and Mr. Kamal Kalra, author of the book leap ahead. StraCon - The Strategy & Consulting club and FINix – the Finance and Investment club of IIM Bodh Gaya also collaborated with the organizing committee, Media & PR Cell for the event.
Top 3 winners will be awarded a cash price of INR 50,000 and an award will be provided to the best performing campus ambassadors.
