New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has successfully conducted its placement session for the academic year 2021-22. During the placement session, 29-year-old graduate Pavan Sharma received the highest package of INR 75.2 lakh per annum for this year.
As per IIM Ahmedabad, the annual salary package offered to graduate students during the placement was recorded at INR 75.2 Lakh per annum, which is the third highest placement received by graduating students of the PGPX batch.
Informing about the IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2022, the institute stated that Pavan Sharma, a recent graduate from IIM Ahmedabad's' PGPX program and son of a farmer has received the highest package. He earned his first paycheck of INR 3,000 while working as an accountant.
Talking about the placements, Pavan Sharma stated that he decided to pursue IIM Ahmedabad MBA Course 2022 to study and understand the managerial functions. He opted for the MBA program at the institute to learn from industry experts and top faculty members of the institute.
After completing Chartered Accountant, CA, he further decided to pursue his education in the field of management and applied for the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives also known as IIM Ahmedabad PGPX Course in the academic year 2021.
While talking about the course, he stated that he opted for this course to open more career opportunities for himself. Earlier, he finished Chartered Accountant, CA in the year 2014, he then decided to work as an accountant for one of the top companies, Grant Thornton.
He was employed at the firm for seven years before he joined IIM Ahmedabad Course. Talking about his accomplishments, Pavan said, "Indian Placement Reporting Standards, IPRS report on the placements in July confirmed that his package was the highest".
