IIIT Kottayam Sets Record in Campus Placement, Receives 122 Job Offers So Far


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam has successfully concluded its campus placement drive with a record of the highest placement offers. For 2022 sessions, students have received a total of 122 placement offers so far from top recruiters on the campus. 

IIIT Kottayam Witnesses Significant Increase in Placement Offers; Average Salary Recorded at INR 10.48 Lakh

According to an official statement, during the first round of placements at IIIT Kottayam, which began in July 2022, the students received122 job offers from 54 companies. The highest domestic pay provided was INR 58.3 lakh per year for this year, while the mean salary package offered to students stood at INR 13.29 LPA.

The highest international package for this placement session was recorded at INR 23 lakh per annum. Offers were made by product-based businesses, IT/software corporations, financial institutions, and consulting firms among other recruiters. The institute will start the second phase of placements will start in January 2023.

As per the data, Pre-placement offers (PPOs) have increased at IIT Mandi compared to last year. This year, the institute's students received 69 PPOs as opposed to 56 the previous year. Companies may offer PPOs up until December 1, 2022, when the first phase of placements is scheduled to start.

This year's top recruiters for IIT Mandi students included software giant Microsoft (11 offers), Bangalore's Samsung Research Institute (10), Amazon (7 offers), Arista networks (6 offers), Accenture (4 offers), and Uber (3).

In addition to this, IIT Madras recorded an increase in PPOs in its placement drive held for sessions 2022–2023, IIT Madras's offline summer internship programme increased PPOs and enabled students and the business community to connect.

In contrast to the 231 offers made during the 2021–2022 academic year, as of November 13, 2022, a total of 333 PPOs have been made to students. The number of PPOs is expected to increase in the upcoming Phase I of Campus Placements, which is anticipated to start on December 1, 2022.
