IIIT Kottayam PhD Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is June 15

New Delhi: IIIT Kottayam is currently accepting applications for its PhD programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal,iiitkottayam.ac.in. The last date to apply is June 15, 2022. 

IIIT Kottayam offers the PhD programme in three specialisations that include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computation Mathematics.

Admission to the PhD programme of IIIT Kottayam is based on a written test or a personal interview round conducted by the institute. A master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in aggregate is compulsory for candidates to get admission.

IIIT Kottayam PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process

Computer Science and Engineering:

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering/IT/ CA/ ECE or equivalent with CGPA of either 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% on appropriate branches; or
• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / IT/ ECE from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / other institutions of national importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10-point scale or 70%. Such students will be awarded both MS and PhD degrees on completion of PhD programme without any exit option.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

• Master’s degree in ECE/ EEE or equivalent with CGPA of either 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% on appropriate branches; or
• Four-year bachelor’s degree in ECE /Electrical Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10-point scale or 70%. Such students will be awarded both MS and PhD degrees on completion of PhD Programme without any exit option during the programme.

Computational Mathematics:

• 2 years M.Sc/ Integrated M.Sc. in Maths/ Maths and Computing/ Applied Mathematics/Statistics or an equivalent with 60% aggregate.

Selection Process: Selection of the candidate will be based on a written test and/or an interview round.

IIIT Kottayam PhD Admission 2022: How to Apply?

• Visit the official application portal of IIIT Kottayam, at iiitkottayam.ac.in.
• Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as name, mobile number, and email id.
• Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST) and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
