New Delhi: IGNOU has extended the admission deadline for programmes offered through online and distance mode (ODL). The candidates can apply till March 25 through the official website- ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
As per the official tweet by IGNOU, “ The last date of Fresh Admission for PG and UG Programmes both for Online and ODL mode ( except certificate, semester based and merit-based Programmes) and Re-registration for the January 2022 Session has been extended till 25th March 2022.”
IGNOU provides over 200 ODL programmes as well as 16 online programmes. The official website has a list of programmes as well as other information. SC and ST students are eligible for fee waivers for ODL programmes of IGNOU. However, the facility is only available for one programme every admission cycle.

IGNOU January 2022 Admission: How to Apply Online?
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to take admission at IGNOU for various programs can now submit their registrations for the same by following the below steps:
- Visit the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in.
- From the homepage, click on the “Admission 2022” link available.
- Fill in the application form for your desired course and upload the documents as required.
- Pay the application fee online and click on submit option.
- Review your application and submit the same to complete your IGNOU Admission 2022 registration process.
- Download it, take a printout for further reference.
