All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity .The Institute has broad facilities for teaching, research and patient-care. As provided in the Act, AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees. Teaching and research are conducted in 42 disciplines. In the field of medical research AIIMS is the lead, having more than 600 research publications by its faculty and researchers in a year. AIIMS also runs a College of Nursing and trains students for B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate) degrees.

Exam Pattern Of Aiims

The students should obtain complete information about AIIMS exam pattern. Here is the full exam pattern:

• Mode of Test: The AIIMS MBBS entrance test will be held in online mode i.e. computer-based test.
• Test Duration: The duration of the exam will be 3.30 hours.
• Medium of the Test: The entrance test will be asked either in English or in Hindi.
• Number of Questions: There will be total 200 multiple choice questions in the exam.
• Subjects: The question will be asked from the subject of the qualifying exam including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude.
• Marking Scheme: Each question will carry 1 mark and for every correct response 1 mark will be awarded.
• Negative Marking: There is negative marking in AIIMS entrance test and for every incorrect attempt, 1/3rd marks will be deducted.

Methods: The quasi-experimental impact evaluation included statewide household surveys at two time points during the pilot phase: January-April 2012 ("baseline") including an initial cohort of beneficiaries and January-April 2014 ("midline") with a new cohort. The two arms were: 1) eight intervention districts, and 2) a comparison arm comprised of the remaining 30 districts in Bihar where Ananya interventions were not implemented. We analysed changes in indicators across the RMNCHN continuum of care from baseline to midline in intervention and comparison districts using a difference-in-difference analysis.
