New Delhi: Goa Institute of Management has been granted joint accreditation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA) for its dedication to responsible management, its course that educates students about the health requirements of society, and its facilities.

Following the accreditation received by Goa Institute of Management, all current and recent graduates of the school's MBA and MBM courses are invited to join AMBA's worldwide membership network. The network consists of almost 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries, upon gaining AMBA accreditation.

Talking about this achievement, Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA and BGA, said, “I would like to congratulate everyone at the Goa Institute of Management who worked towards this double accreditation".

"Being AMBA accredited shows the quality of the school's MBA and MBM programmes, while BGA indicates the school's commitment to social responsibility. I look forward to working with this school as it joins our network of the top 2% of business schools globally", he added.

All undergraduates and alumni from all business school programmes are welcome to join the BGA's individual membership network. Through exclusive events and business-related information, these organisations enable students and graduates to build a community that promotes management theory and practice.

A panel of assessors, including leading business school executives from throughout the world, reviewed the institution as part of the joint AMBA and BGA accreditation. The panel praised the school and its staff for having a very strong, distinct, and enthusiastic dedication to responsible management.

The Give Goa project, which is a course designed to educate students about the community's health requirements and the necessity for them to exercise social responsibility toward the disadvantaged and marginalised populations, was also mentioned by the panel.

"I am extremely glad to see GIM setting new benchmarks in management education with an emphasis on responsible management and in the entire development of students," said Ajit Parulekar, director of the Goa Institute of Management.

"With our commitment to creating research-based knowledge, and making leaders through world-class programmes, we are happy to have received this robust and independent reaffirmation of our commitment to management education", he added.
