New Delhi: As per Madhya Pradesh State Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal will offer MBBS course in Hindi from the next academic year 2022-23.
The announcement made by the education minister has confirmed, Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal will begin MBBS courses in Hindi within the next 2 months. With this new development, Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to offer MBBS courses in Hindi.
This decision comes soon after, MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Republic Day that the state is preparing to launch MBBS and other medical courses in Hindi. The state government has been aiming to begin MBBS courses in Hindi in all Public Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
“The minister had talked to the subject experts some days ago in order to get books prepared in Hindi for first-year MBBS students in the presence of Atal Bihari Hindi University and Gandhi Medical College functionaries. Lectures will also be delivered in Hindi,” a state public relations department official has informed the PTI.
Gandhi Medical College Bhopal: Courses & Fees
During the first phase, students who have opted for Hindi as the instruction medium will be taught in Hindi and English for two months each. Further steps will be taken after their assessments. During the second phase, supplementary books for Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry subjects will be prepared for the students.
Three committees are currently supervising the action plan of this course.

MBBS Course in GMC, Bhopal: Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates should take note of the following eligibility criteria, required for admission to the MBBS course at GMC, Bhopal:
- Candidates are required to pass class 10+2 in PCB
- Admission to this course is done on the basis of NEET scores
Students who will complete the MBBS programme, and who are registered with MCI, will be eligible to apply for the MD/MS course at the institute.
