Candidates appearing for final qualifying examination (including NET-JRF) can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of interview, failing which their candidature shall be rejected.

How to Apply NIPER Ph.D. Joint Admission Test 2015:

Candidates can register online on www.niper.gov.in/admissions.html from 06th April 2015, 9.00 AM to 01st May 2015, 5.00 PM.

Online Application Processing System (OAPS)

An online interface is provided for applicant's interaction with the NIPER office. With this interface an applicant can:

  • Fill the online application form as per instructions given on the website.
  • Upload photograph and signature
  • Image size should be 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (Width x Height) print in JPEG format
  • The signature size in maximum pixel resolution for the image is 160 × 560
  • The minimum pixel resolution for the signature image is 80 × 280
  • Pay the registration fees

After making the payment candidates are advised to take Printout of the Registration form and put signatures at the bottom of the registration form and attach the following documents:

  • Copy of award letter if any pertaining to NET-JRF of CSIR/DBT/UGC/ICMR etc.
  • Sponsorship certificate from Industry / Government sponsored candidates

Relaxation:

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST,  5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and should also have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET.

Percentage of marks or CGPA will be based on the norms of the concerned university/Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case University/Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA. Available seats will include Institute funded/ government project funded/ industry funded research fellowships. In addition to this, seats are also available for candidates having their own fellowship (NET-JRF; RGNF; Engineering and Technology etc.) from CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT etc.

Seats are also available for candidates sponsored by Government Departments; Research and Development Organizations; Public Sector Undertakings and Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises and for foreign nationals/self financing foreign nationals.

GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all disciplines except for the following category of candidates:-

  • Candidates holding M.V.Sc./M.D. degree
  • Foreign nationals
  • Sponsored candidates from Government Departments, Research and Development Organizations Public Undertakings and Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises.

NIPER Ph.D. Joint Admission Test 2015 Admit Card:

Candidates shall be informed through email about when to download the Admit Card. No admit card will be sent to the candidates by the post.

  • For downloading the admit card open the website
  • Candidate have to login at the website by using application number and password
  • Now Download the admit card

Bring a print-out of the downloaded Admit Card to the examination Center along with the original and valid photo identification (No photocopy / scanned copy/ expired ID is permitted).

It may be noted that candidate may carry one of the following IDs: Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, Ration Card College ID, Aadhaar UID, Employee or Identification Card etc.

NIPER Ph.D. Joint Admission Test 2015 Exam Pattern:

Entrance Test will be held on Sunday, the 7th June, 2015 at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune.

Based on the performance in the exam, list of candidates to be called for interview will be displayed on the website.

The question paper level will be of M.S. (Pharm.), M.Pharm., M.Tech. (Pharm.), M.V.Sc., M.D. and M.Sc. (in relevant discipline) level. Each discipline will also have questions from general Pharmaceutical Sciences and general aptitude.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking in the written test. 25% marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Interview Marks: The qualified candidates in each discipline shall have to appear for interview which will carry 15 marks.

NIPER Ph.D. Joint Admission 2015 Selection Procedure:

Admission to the Ph.D Programme will be based on the combined merit obtained by a candidate in the written test and interview. Interview of the eligible candidates for the Ph.D Programme will be conducted based on the merit in the written test.

The candidates have to report to the institute for Interview on scheduled date and time. Candidates will be allowed to participate in Interview, only if they are carrying requisite documents.

Document Submission:

The candidates will be required to submit the following documents in original and a set of photocopies at the time of interview, failing this, the candidature shall be summarily rejected.

  • 10th Class Certificate as a proof of age and correct name.
  • Mark sheets of all the semesters of qualifying degree.
  • Admit Card of NIPER written test.
  • GPAT/GATE/NET Card wherever applicable.
  • Award letter (if any) of NET-JRF of CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR etc.
  • Caste certificate, if applicable.
  • Certificate of PwD candidates, if applicable.
  • Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner of a Government Hospital
  • Sponsorship certificate from the employer in case of Government/Industry sponsored candidates
