Banaras Hindu University Pre Ayurveda Entrance Test 2015 Notification

BHU-PAT-2015 (BAMS/B.Pharm. (Ay)/BNYS):

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will conduct a Pre Ayurveda Entrance Test (BHU-PAT-2015) on Sunday, July 26th, 2015 for admission to the BAMS Course and Self Financing B.Pharm (Ay) Course, Self Financing BNYS Course of this University.

BAMS course may be subject to the approval of Central Council of Indian Medicine and AYUSH Department, Government of India, New Delhi.

Seats Availability:

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive Written Test i.e. PAT-2015 for admission in various courses. The availability of seats in the courses is given below:

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Course : (60 Seats),

Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda (B.Pharm (Ay)) Course : (30 Seats)

BNYS Course (30 Seats)

PAT-2015 shall be held on Sunday, the 06th July 2015 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centers.

Eligibility for BHU Pre Ayurveda Entrance Test (BHU-PET) 2015:

Applicant shall be eligible to appear in BHU-PAT-2015 Entrance Test, if

He/ She is an Indian National
Candidate has passed the intermediate Science or Pre-Medical Course/12 years of 10+2 examination or Equivalent Examination from recognized Indian University/Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (hereinafter called the qualifying exam)
Applicants must obtained at least 50% of the total marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying exam
For SC/ST candidates, the minimum 40% marks shall be required in the qualifying examination

Age Limit: Only those applicants are eligible for the entrance test, who have completed the age of 17 year but have not crossed the age of 25 years on 31st December 2015.

Note:

The applicant has to submit mark sheet and pass certificate at the time of counseling indicating that he/she has passed the qualifying exam in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with other subjects.

How to Apply BHU PAT 2015 for BAMS B.Pharm BNYS Admission?

Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria shall apply online at www.formzero.in/imsbhu in the prescribed application form for BHU-PAT-2015 and shall be required to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Banaras Hindu University for the purpose of admission to the first year B.A.M.S., / B. Pharm. (Ay) / B.N.Y.S. course.

Filling the Online Application Form:

To apply online the candidate should have a valid e-mail ID; with that email ID the applicant has to register at http://www.formzero.in/imsbhu. Then the applicant has to follow the instructions given by the web page for filling up the application form.

Payment of Application Fee:

Application fee to be paid by the candidates only as per the guidelines detailed during submission of completed application form through online mode by using credit / debit card (ATM card) / internet banking.

The candidate who does not have online facility may deposit the fees through challan as per the guideline of the web page.

Provisional Admit Card:

The admit card will be emailed to the applicant's registered email-id and the same has to be printed by the applicant.
Candidate has to paste a photograph at the space provided. The photograph should be identical to the photograph scanned and uploaded while applying online.
Only with this provisional admit card the applicant will be allowed to sit in the entrance test PAT-2015.

Reservation of Seats:

Out of total seats in various courses, 27% are reserved for Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer), 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes. 3% seats are reserved for physically challenged candidates on horizontal basis.

BHU-PAT 2015 Exam Pattern:

The entrance test will be held on July 26th, 2015 from 09.30am to 12.30pm only at Varanasi Centre.

The question paper shall be a single paper containing 200 objective type questions in both language Hindi and English. The BHU-PAT-2015 question paper is common for all the courses. However the merit list of applicants will be prepared course wise and category wise.

The competitive entrance Test BHU-PAT-2015 (BAMS/B. Pharm (Ay)/ BNYS Entrance Test) will be of 3 hours duration inclusive of time for filling in answer sheet and checking of question booklet in 1st 15 minutes.

BHU-PAT 2015 Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be selected in order of merit on the basis of the aggregate marks secured at the BHU-PAT 2015 Entrance Test.
The minimum qualifying marks is different for all categories i.e. 50% for general category, 45% for general PC category and 40% for OBC (Non Creamy layer)/Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates.
The selected candidates shall be required to appear personally before the Admission Committee for counseling / interview.

Tie Breaking:

In case if two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the BHU-PAT-2015 (BAMS/B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS Entrance Test) their merit shall be decided in the following order:

Marks obtained by the candidate in the Zoology Subject in qualifying examination.
Marks obtained by the candidate in the Botany Subject in qualifying examination.
Marks obtained by the candidate in the Chemistry Subject in qualifying examination
Marks obtained by the candidate in the Physics Subject in qualifying examination.
The date of birth i.e. the candidate senior in the age would rank higher.

Certificates/Documents Required At the Time of Interview/Counseling:
