FLAME University launches Bachelor of Design Programme; Check Details Here

New Delhi: A multidisciplinary Bachelor of Design (BDES) curriculum at the undergraduate level has been introduced by FLAME University.

The FLAME University B.Des curriculum includes foundational courses, courses in particular areas, courses that emphasise experiential learning, value-added courses, and professional practises. Students that meet the program's requirements and are interested in applying can do so at flame.edu.in

The curriculum was developed using the thoughts of more than 50 international design experts, and it was vetted by an advisory group that included Don Norman, the head of the University of California's The Design Lab and widely regarded as the "Father of UX Design." The BDes programme will be taught by both visiting faculty made up of business people and full-time faculty experts with academic credentials from reputable schools.

The program's curriculum attempts to align with industry expectations and change with them, encouraging design abilities through the interdisciplinary course-cross-pollination.

Students will work on the multidisciplinary nature of complicated problem-solving by integrating different viewpoints and promoting new ways of thinking and problem-solving in this programme, which is based on a "Experience-centred Design" curriculum created for the future designer.

The BDes curriculum, with experience design as a major, is created for the future designer, who will not only be able to envisage ideas and execute them but also innovate by producing thought-provoking concepts, according to Professor Dishan Kamdar, vice-chancellor of FLAME University. Through a practical and multidisciplinary approach, our design education philosophy seeks to provide students with relevant competences and help them hone their skills.

"The curriculum will be taught by teachers who are professionals and bring in real-world experience. It was developed with the advice of some of the brightest brains from India and beyond. The effect and value that design professionals bring to the table will be demonstrated by the students' readiness to take on problems at the end of the programme, he continued.
